Day 18 - Missed a few days apologies, Today we said goodbye to @CC_Foskett, he has been a great leader and supporter of networks. Best of luck in your new chapter.

Day 13 - Last Rest day, clear out of the summer house, unbelievable how many toys the kids have when they are young...
Then spent the afternoon at the gym and the local arcades.

Fact: The prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was born around 570 CE in Mekkah.

Day 12 - Visit to the barbers to get a quick tidy up.. On to Friday prays and then made it to the gym.

Fact: Muslims are monotheistic and worship one, all-knowing God, who in Arabic is known as Allah.

Day 11 - Managed to fix my fence with the neighbour, dentist run for both kids. opticians for the eldest as she broke her glasses. To top it up I get a flat tyre, turns out I have a crack on my alloy... Not to forget Easter egg creations for tomorrow's school competition

Day 10 - First rest day started off with a few calls in the morning & then a meeting in the afternoon. Being a chair of a network is 365 day role

Fact: Hajj is an Islamic pilgrimage and the hair is usually cut very short or even shaved off towards the end of Hajj.

Opened my fast with some water that I found in a medical kit 1 hour later, then 3 hours later got some food.

Fact: Those fasting will have one meal just before sunrise known as ‘the suhoor’, and another directly after sunset known as ‘the iftar’.

Day 9 - 16 hours later I'm home😴😴 I thought it was a good idea to go out the office before fast opens, well in that time I had one moped failed to stop but then stopped a car with 4 occupants, 3 people arrested for several offences.. 3 arrests for me thank you very much

Day 8 - Just got in after been at work since 9am, shattered is an understatement. Another busy day in the office tomorrow but struggling to shake off the cold..

Fact:

Children do not have to fast until around the age of 14.

Day 7 - Feeling very drained, been unwell but not enough to be off work. You feel the fast more if your body isn't fully upto it.

Fact: Islam is the second-largest religion in the world after Christianity, with about 1.8 billion Muslims worldwide

Day 6 - Long day in the office, a trip to Harrogate and then onto meetings all day, Opened my fast with some Tacos, and not forgetting the Cake & Bakalava baked by a dear colleague.

Fact: Fasting is one of the Five Pillars of Islam.

Day 5 - Not going to lie I felt it today, Ready for an early start in the morning and looking forward to breaking my Fast at work tomorrow.

Fact: Dates are traditionally the first thing eaten at iftar

Day 4 - The joys of Ramadan when your neighbours cook food and exchange it between each other.

Fact: Ramadan begins during the 9th month of the Islamic lunar calendar, when the new crescent moon can first be seen.

Day 3 - Tiredness is kicking in but the lack of food and water isn't bothering me. Makes you appreciate what we have and others don't..

Fact: Jesus, (peace be on him), is regarded as a blessed Prophet.

Day 2 - Steady day today, a few meetings and then onto some dad duties!! The days are shorter than previous years but the body still isn't use to the fasting.

Ramadan Mubarak Everyone!!

Day 1 - Always hard the first day with the tiredness kicking in towards the end. Thank you too @YorkMosque for Iftar invite.
