The DPP with the victim decided a 3rd trial (which they’re entitled to) probably would come to the same result. Enough jury members thought him innocent and equally enough thought him guilty. No dismissal.

Yes, glad there is punishment with guilty verdicts alone, but this is still very grey. And because charges now dropped, victim is accused of falsely accusing.
