@bigplay24slay He is a supreme talent, who is unstoppable when he wants to be. The problem is, what makes him not want to be. He hasn't wanted to be here, in more moments than are acceptable, and he made it obvious.
@DoggyCapital@EliotShorrParks AJ kicked off rage sessions in my house. At the time, his disinterest didn't make sense to me. I KNOW what kind of talent he is/was. That was the issue. I quit on his team. And it got more pronounced at the end. As long as he got #'s, he was happy. Win or lose. That's a problem.
@skersSR@KDOT_COM@EliotShorrParks He was already a #1. And he was a #1 while Hurts was learning the position. He dominated every time AJ was out. Smitty will be fine. And he will get open quickly in this offense.
@DylanFMackinnon@PhillySlasher It was widely believed that the "me guy problem" was solved with moving Reddick, who wanted more money, but wasn't deemed worth it. Several players hinted that he was a disruption. Also, it was very obvious that whatever was going on behind the scenes would NOT be spoken of.
@ZBerm He wanted out, and forced it. That's nasty work. The offense is designed to scheme players open. Haters believe Hurts can't play in that type system. He tends to prove haters wrong at every opportunity. Howie did a great job at surrounding Hurts with players that fit. AJ didn't.
@Flyer_AF@ZBerm No. He was a problem during the superbowl year too. Do you remember the exchange they had as they were winning the championship? Compare it to the exchange between Hurts and Smitty. This had to happen. Smitty will thrive. AJ probably will too. But this is on AJ. Facts or not.
@TropicanaTwista@EliotShorrParks 2 things can be true. He is great. He has a toxic attitude about stats over team. He is significantly quieter losing, while producing numbers, than he is while winning, and being part of the machine...even the best part of the machine.
@DoggyCapital@EliotShorrParks This is on AJ, bro. I miss the version of him before he started acting out. And winning had nothing to do with it. That's a problem.
@mr_briteside10@Chrisdyer777@EliotShorrParks The biggest issue with AJ is, he thrives on contested catches and physicality. That has been absent during stretches, unless he was fed the ball. In those games, we lost, and he was silent. That's a HIM issue. Part of being #1, is drawing defense. He doesn't want that.
@EliotShorrParks What is your deal? I wish him well, but winning was secondary to his individual goals and challenges. He said it himself. Winning it all didn't satisfy him like beating whomever was in front of him. As a wr, he needs the ball for that.
