For the past year, I have been accompanying my mother for treatment under Dr. Syed Maqbool. He does not know me, our interaction has been strictly within the patient-doctor relationship.Based on my experience, I have found him to be a highly competent cardiologist. At no stage did he advise unnecessary investigations or excessive medication. His treatment of my mother was professional. I never had the impression that financial considerations influenced his medical advice. I understand that a government memorandum has framed certain charges against Dr. Maqbool. Since the allegations are serious, a fair and impartial inquiry must be conducted. However, it is also important that the inquiry be completed within a week. The prolonged uncertainty surrounding the matter is not only unfair to the doctor concerned but is also detrimental to GMC Anantnag, an institution whose functioning and reputation should not be allowed to suffer due to delay in inquiry. Reputed cardiologists of J&K should be involved in the inquiry.
The Health Minister should ensure that the inquiry is conducted in seven days not in seven years.

Muhammad Abdul Raheem, a Class 11 student from Nunner village in Ganderbal, has earned an admission offer from MIT, widely regarded as one of the world’s most prestigious institutions for science, engineering, artificial intelligence, and cutting-edge technological research.
Abdul Raheem completed his education up to Class 10 at Hilltop Educational Institute, Darend, Ganderbal, and is currently pursuing his higher secondary studies at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Ganderbal. Through dedication, self-learning, and a passion for innovation, he has emerged as one of Kashmir’s most promising young technology enthusiasts.
Hailing from a modest family of five, Abdul Raheem has already established a strong reputation in fields such as programming, software development, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and robotics. His admission to MIT is being viewed as an extraordinary accomplishment, given the institution’s highly competitive global selection process.
One of his most notable innovations is “KrishiBot,” an intelligent farming robot developed to integrate artificial intelligence, robotics, and automation into modern agricultural practices.
