@Elwood_R Absolutely! I actually got a medal from the Coast Guard for urging them to send my/their patient to a higher level of care. I have no compunctions of saying, "This patient needs to be somewhere else." It was against doctor recommendations but my care was for the life. He lived.

@Elwood_R Bipap does dry you out. It is 1 of the last steps before a vent. Ugh. I feel for ya. I spent a month in the hospital, 10 days in ICU. No fucking picnic. It is scary AF to have your fate in the hands of people you don't' know.

@Elwood_R Yikes. Well, without covid, if your oxygen fell into the 70s and stayed there, you needed vented. The alternative is brain damage related to hypoxia. That doesn't go away. I hope this info helps you. It sounds like you have angels in your corner
