SSGs | Small-sided 3v3
Fast paced SSG that builds in elements of transition O/D lacking in traditional versions of 3v3. This is a highly competitive game with an emphasis on decision-making where players will get in a TON of reps in a short amount of time!

One of the most important skills, fundamentals, and principles in the game is space.
The offense wants to create, find, and attack space.
The defense wants to limit, reduce, or take away space.
Do you connect the importance of space to your players?
It is a constant for us.
Bill Russell refused to participate in the 1975 Hall of Fame induction ceremony.
He believed the Hall focused on individuals and he wanted his career to be remembered with a focus on the team.
Rest in peace to one of the most selfless teammates of all time.
When players try to be perfect or ‘aim’ their shot they tend to slow down their lift/push.
We want players to PUNCH through their shot to force it high and straight
PLAYERS: "If you just want to be average then you do average work. If you want to be a little bit above average, you do a little more work. If you want A’s in basketball, you have to do stuff other people aren’t willing to do.“ (Geno Auriemma)

Take care of your character and your reputation will take care of itself.
Take of your work ethic and the scoreboard will take care of itself.
Take care of your relationships and your standards, and your culture will take care of itself.
Character first, results second.
To his point, I spoke to an NCAA D1 assistant coach last week who said his boss hadn’t changed anything in 15 years: Same practices, same drills, same philosophy, etc.
4v3 no dribble shooting (ht @safalika)
D-1 coach asked, “Do your guys always go this hard?”
Yes.
C: “Our guys hate this drill and never play this hard on defense.”
“Force yourself to concentrate on the positives.
Every champion and high achiever I’ve ever known had the discipline to substitute good attitude for bad attitude.”
— Pat Summitt
“I do not demand victory. What I demand is that each player expend every available ounce of energy to achieve his personal best.”
— John Wooden

There's a reason it's one of the best rivalries in sports 😳
Which team would win this 5v5 of @DukeMBB and @UNC_Basketball players during the Coach K Era? 🤔
