How can you play this!? The camera barely moves! The gameplay visual effects are minimal and unobstructive! The sound design isn’t overbearing! What rubbish !!
“Interrupting gameplay for visual flair is unacceptable in a fighting game.” New VIRTUA FIGTHER Project producer talks about the title’s pursuit of “reality, not realism”

Always thought this model is perfect for FGs. Skins are always visible increasing visual variety, and it supports locals justifying your gooner purchases. Can't lose.
@LarsJinn Loved the video man! You did a fantastic job.
I really enjoyed the end where you brought your personal history into the mix.
It'd be cool if in the Tekken 6 video, if you touched a bit on the competitive scene at the time!
@LarsJinn Loved your video! As I've done a lot of work for the Tekken 5 & 6 supercombo wiki's, if you ever want help or want to collab on future retrospectives, feel free to shoot me a message 🤘
@PhiDXGames Have you thought about making videos touching on previous Tekken entries?
Could discuss cool try to prop-up positive things you enjoy or find interesting/engaging in previous Tekken entries and make a list of some sort?
We were so close to a really fire Tekken after TWT ended.
The pros started showing tons of counterplay and creative solutions. At the STL Finals, Knee used Snake Edge to beat a Yoshimitsu bad breath!!
At Korea vs. Pakistan, we saw tons of Heat Bursts get sidestepped and launched.
And who can forget how hype Numan vs. Edge was at TWT 2024.
A few nerfs to the homing strings, the tracking heat bursts, and the chip damage would have put the game in an amazing state.
For new moves, the Heat Smash adjustments I generally enjoy a lot. The Heat Smashes reintroduced as Meter moves are generally not my favorite, including Lili and Steve's. But these weakness cover-ups and do-everything moves feel like a modded game, not a mainline title update.
At the end of Season 1, I was logging on every day to drill Tekken and rewire myself to learn to attack better. I was running long sets with my friends, streaming to entertain and educate, and always looking forward to logging on again.
Now, I have to decide if the new vision of Tekken is worth completely rewriting again for. The new rank system is really cool to me. But the gameplay required to climb it, personally, is not for me.
I was on a battle high of reading and studying the patch while trying to make balanced, level-headed content about it.
Now that I'm coming down from it, morale is pretty low.
I don't think my opinion holds much weight to the development team, but I wouldn't have made nearly daily videos this whole year if I didn't love Tekken. I wanted to share and teach what makes the series so special. I don't know if I will have the passion for that in this new direction.
Please revert the patch.
This video by SimpleFlips is a great video on the Hax situation, and I agree with everything said here, feel free to share for awareness if you'd like: https://t.co/zTI8EYW936
Big part of the Hax situation is allowing people who have never lead anything to have authority. A LOT of the panelists use these positions to fuel their power egos because they (truthfully) haven’t had any meaningful control in their lives. Banning someone PERMANENTLY with no way to get back in the community over something so small is psychotic. Regardless of how serious you thought the situation (aside from literal illegal stuff) was, everyone can change. Craziest part is Hax SHOWED growth as well. As much as people are saying “he did all that to himself”, he truly didn’t. There is 1 person or a single group of people that could have stopped this and I know the guilt is simmering right now. As forgiving as I am I know the thought of Hax will be something they think about for the rest of their lives.
We need to stop allowing “panelists” that NOONE VOTES ON to run everything. The bare minimum we need to do is be more compassionate, as well as not allow certain people to just claim that they are the decision makers for the entire scene that they are in. The community voting for their ban panelists needs to start being a norm. A handful of people should NEVER be able to decide that they run stuff alone. This goes for every region and every scene (including SFL).
There has been a lot of unfairness since that HUUUGE ban wave back in COVID era. Things need to change.
It is incredibly difficult for me to pick a favorite between these two. I will admit that while Arcane will probably win, I can't deny that Fallout was incredibly well written and my anticipation for New Vegas might bias me heavily lol.
