@BoBMarvan@Osinttechnical This was bound for the atmosphere one way or another.
Either one big boom or millions of tiny booms inside Russian military vehicle engines.
@rbtcollins Ah, interesting!
I find myself almost always on the side of naming, except in very select cases. Basically where is use a python lambda, and that's it (almost).
But as you say, whichever way you prefer, at least Rust dosn't get in your way ❤️
@rbtcollins Personally, I tend to avoid closures except for really simple cases.
I find having named functions easier to read, test, and compose in general.
It's not that it's better for the machine (I don't think it makes much of a difference in the end), it's purely for the human here.
Today in timezone madness: Lebanon had a last minute announcement of DST postponement. The Olson database complied. Now there is a dispute if it happens, and *parts* of the government reversed it. The country now has two timezones concurrently depending on who you ask.
@the_compiler@DRMacIver Last time I tried to cash in a cheque in Switzerland (10 years ago) my bank literally laughed at me and quoted 50 chf of fees.
Frankly I'd eat the fees. It's certainly not going to be as much as that 😆
@lambduhh I saw clojure-centric instance around, but since it's distributed it doesn't really matter which instance you choose (for reach, at least).
It's also easy to move between instances, so you're choice must not be final.
The ads I get on this platform are hilarious now TBH.
No more big brands that are somewhat relevant, I get the anti-snore gadget ad from midnight cable channels now 🤣
