Here’s a quick information of an NFT project currently on my watchlist: @WonkiesCC0 by @sweetoshieth@sweetoshieth is preparing to launch her first major Ethereum collection, Wonkies a 3,000-piece collection with mint date and price still TBA, while collaborations continue to roll out.
What caught my attention is WONKLAB.
WONKLAB is an interactive pre-mint experience that lets the community help shape the collection before mint.
Participants encounter an unstable Wonkie (a 50x50 pixel creature) and get the chance to make a meaningful change to its traits, creating a more community-driven experience from the start.
The creator, @sweetoshieth, has been active in NFTs since the early 2020s as a collector, supporter, and ecosystem participant before stepping into building her own project.

This is seeming like a must get, what do we think?
Everyone’s talking about @visitsugartown
let’s explain what actually happened, and what sugar town really is.
Sugartown was one of the most ambitious NFT gaming projects ever launched by a major traditional gaming company.
It was created by Zynga the studio behind FarmVille, Words With Friends, and Zynga Poker as its first major step into Web3.
Zynga officially revealed Sugartown on August 14, 2023 but this wasn’t just another NFT collection.
The vision was an entire Web3 gaming ecosystem where one NFT unlocked access to multiple games.
That NFT collection was called Oras.
On September 13, 2023, the 9,999-piece Oras collection launched as a free mint.
Only 6,000 NFTs were released publicly, while the remaining supply was reserved for future rewards and ecosystem incentives.
The collection sold out the same day.
Over time, the floor price climbed to 1 ETH, making Oras one of the biggest free-mint success stories in Web3 gaming • https://t.co/euA0PVUQF7
Two weeks later, @visitsugartown came to life.
On September 27, NFT staking went live, allowing holders to generate Energy the resource required to play future games.
Then, from September 29 to October 2, Sugartown launched its first playable experience: NGMI Alpha.
Only around 400 early community members received access, but it proved the concept worked.
Over the following months, Sugartown evolved into an event-based gaming platform.
Players staked NFTs, earned Energy, competed on leaderboards, and participated in limited-time events instead of permanent game servers.
In 2024, the ecosystem expanded with ATH (All Time Heights) and later Royal Nutz Poker Club (RNPC), as the team experimented with new gameplay and rewarded-play mechanics.
Then came a major turning point.
On September 2, 2024, Zynga transferred Sugartown to D20 Labs.
Many assumed Zynga had abandoned the project.
Not exactly.
D20 Labs was founded by the same developers who originally built Sugartown at Zynga, including Matt Wolf and Tommy Ngo.
The goal was to give the team more freedom to focus entirely on Web3 gaming.
Despite continuing development throughout 2025, the project faced growing challenges.
The Web3 gaming market continued to shrink, user growth slowed, and the team later revealed they had lost access to a critical technology partner that powered part of the ecosystem.
In July 2026, D20 Labs announced Sugartown would shut down.
The team said the decision came down to three factors:
• A declining Web3 gaming market.
• The loss of critical technical infrastructure.
• The inability to find a sustainable replacement despite months of searching.
So what actually caused Sugartown’s downfall?
Not one mistake.
A shrinking market, an ecosystem that struggled to grow beyond NFT holders and a critical infrastructure setback that arrived at the worst possible time.
Sugartown wasn’t another rug.
The team kept building until the very end.
It simply couldn’t overcome the realities of the market it was trying to change.
Whether you see it as a failure or a lesson, Sugartown will be remembered as one of Web3 gaming’s most ambitious experiments.
Collabs are open. the troop is growing. 🐒
