Configuration in Go that type checks, secrets encryption from the start, use promisses instead of loops to wait for cloud resources provisioning, and you can use even Terraform providers out of the box.

The current financial crisis, raises the cost of business abroad, leaves no room for inneficies. Many will, following Elon's lead, become lean and go back to engineering roots.

@jdegoes They prefer acquisition opposed to innovation, and regularly lay off experienced employees to cut the cost and further inflate stick price. This self selects mediocre management with low or no engineering skills that has hard time solving simple challenges like cost management.

@CloudIslamabad The issues raised in this article were my main roadblocks in embracing GitOps. As a consequence we become too dependent on the tooling to address the complexities of promotions between envs. Then there is the question if a merge event should trigger a promotion?
