@WhitePowder80@SleeperMets@NYPost_Mets Bichette is solid in the field and that’s half the battle. Much been asked of him. Leads team in RBI and while his offense leaves a bit to be desired, he plays every day. He is a good player, not a guy to carry a team. A lot of pressure on him.
@WhitePowder80@SleeperMets@NYPost_Mets What have you seen from Polanco that is so impressive this year? He was 2-for-20 in his last five games and couldn’t hit a lick vs. lefties. NY is a difficult place to play not everyone has
success. Jury still out.
@WhitePowder80@SleeperMets@NYPost_Mets Polanco has proven nothing for a $20 million contract. Young is making $1.15 million and has done more on half the PAs.
@WhitePowder80@SleeperMets@NYPost_Mets Obviously, you’re making a case for a guy with 61 PAs and an injury history longer than this thread. I’ll take a good 34 PAs over 61 bad ones any day.
“A” in statistics BTW.
@WhitePowder80@SleeperMets@NYPost_Mets I think Jared Young is a good hitter. Polanco pushes Young out of the lineup, not Vientos or Baty. So bringing up Baty has no relevance here.
@WhitePowder80@SleeperMets@NYPost_Mets Yup. The #Mets are bad for a reason like signing players with a known injury history who got hurt. Keep in mind, he is still playing hurt, won’t be 100%.
@WhitePowder80@SleeperMets@NYPost_Mets#Mets history has many guys who can’t play in NY or get injured and never return to prominence. I’m just not excited. Meh is the best I have for a 52 OPS+ player with a .179/.246/.532 slash. McCutchen as a waiver claim has a 62 OPS+.
@WhitePowder80@SleeperMets@NYPost_Mets Had a nice season last year, but he’s proven nothing in a #Mets uniform and has a long injury history. Played average 100 games between 2022 and 2024. And what’s with the language?
