@Mets When Lindor returns, Bo to 3B, Baty back to utility, Young right now has to play 1B or DH. I keep Wagaman over Vientos. Wagaman at least can be valuable bench player. Vientos to me has zero value.
@Mets Outfield is set for long term. Vientos has to go, even with Young who really isn't a long term piece, you upgrade at 1B. Clifford may work or maybe not. Baty has flashes, good 3B defense but not sure he is long term piece either.
@Mets Not for 8 years but I would work to keep Peralta with Scott and McLean and Holmes. Peterson and Manaea need to be moved for other starter upgrades. Not sure Tong is starter. Could be awesome late inning reliever.
@MWCarse Muhammad Ali was cocky and arrogant. He was the greatest though. Vientos is a mediocre HR once in a blue moon pathetic bum who is a legend in his own mind. He should go to Japan or Korea because that's where he can be his own Godzilla
@TonyMetroMLB Vientos needs to be DFA and traded. They need to call up Clifford or acquire another hitter for DH. Young maybe can be the 1B answer but too soon to tell. Wagaman should get some ABs also. As long as Vientos is gone.
@metsnewsletter He will never play for the Mets again. Another Jed Lowrie pathetic bust. Meanwhile they need a power bat and they have to acquire someone or call up another bat because Vientos needs to go
@perryfbcoach Part of me wants to see Wagaman on the bench. Plays numerous positions, has pop and can be a part time player. Vientos should be DFA and traded. Thinks he's a superstar and is the greatest player ever. He is egotistical, smug and frankly sucks worse than Kingman.
@SaltyGary@MarkCHealey I know and part of this is ridding those teams and getting them to sell. These owners are a huge part of the problem. And they won't change.
@LockedOnMets He has no future here. His power is few and very far between. He is unwilling to improve. He is Kingman and that is NOT a compliment at all.
@MarkCHealey Why should a small team get $ and then they pocket it, keeping their payroll low and then not even try to keep their own FA. Terrible for those fan bases.
@MarkCHealey I don't believe there will be a lockout. Fans won't stand for it, however both sides are going to have to compromise big time. I don't think there will be a cap but there needs to be a floor. Revenue sharing is BS if the teams don't take the $ and spend on players.
@metsnewsletter With all his HR power he will get some fringe minor league back. No value whatsoever. He needs to be long gone here. There are 3-4 other players that can go with him if they think they can win.
@metsnewsletter I really don't have faith Vientos will be productive. His Kingman HR to me is just that. Long hard HR that for the majority of his other AB are useless. He has no future here. Baty either regardless of his defense.
@NYNJHarper Murphy has some excellent blunt assessments. He really should be on the coaching staff because his comments will fall on deaf ears otherwise
This is the 2nd time Mets starting giving fans hope only to show that they really are a very bad team. Against good teams they are so overmatched. They need a complete rebuild again without Stearns and Mendoza. #lgm
@DanBartels2 However I believe both sides realize that a lockout could literally ruin the game forever. Last time it took a LIE (STEROIDS) to save it. What would save it this time???
