Thanks for the refreshing webinar on Managing Student Progress @Highr_TeacherEd! Classroom Empowerment is vital to providing an engaging virtual classroom. Special thanks to @Mrs_Gilchrist@MatthewXJoseph and Kamna!!
@MatthewXJoseph TY for you sesh! We are planning an online & in-class start. You got me thinking about what is developmentally appropriate in certain spaces and how to work with my students to create a positive essential agreement for both online learning and in class. Hope to see you in Qatar!
@RaquelInDoha I know what you mean about freezing in front of the camera! Personally, I also learned (and am still learning) to get to the point when presenting content. I love giving background information and providing details a little too much! #qfschools
@RAlmallahy I found recording an elevator pitch challenging since I can't read my audience's reactions to see how my pitch is being received. #qfschools
@MissReyesInDoha Our current scenario has really forced me to use Google Classroom and this hands-on experience has opened my eyes to so many of its useful features. I especially like how you can schedule assignments to be visible ahead of time. #qfschools
@aoifeboyce Isn't it so amazing how the world comes together where individuals utilize their strengths to continue learning by making it accessible for all? #hopeinhumanity#qfschools
Check with your IT coach at your schools about getting a subscription to Screencastify! They should be able to obtain a code so that you can log in for free. I wish I had this before submitting my elevator pitch! #qfschools
There are several online platforms that are free during this pandemic. You can add parent email addresses to students' accounts on Get Epic so students can access Get Epic at home for free. My students are so excited!! #qfschools
Continue staying connected with your class community in an e-learning environment by engaging in Morning Meetings using online platforms like Zoom and Google Meets. After my Morning Meetings, I stay online so my students can come online whenever they have a question. #qfschools
@DanPardy @iste @Flipgrid @AppsEvents1 @aelearninglab Flipgrid is a great way to keep your class community connected during remote learning.
I plan on using it for:
- Digital reading responses
- Teacher and/or student read alouds
- Explain the meaning of UOI vocabulary words
- activate prior knowledge in any subject

@AmerNisreen@roba83488062 Our challenges have been due to internet issues. Apart from that, our students are very eager to join our online platforms. Students are quite comfortable navigating and look forward to attending our Morning Meetings via Google Meets. #qfschools
During remote learning, continue your PD by attending webinars. I plan on attending webinars including @Seesaw, @mathletics3pl, @LiteracyPlanet, and Reading A-Z. Any other suggestions for an elementary school teacher? #qfschools
As we move to remote learning, @Flipgrid is a great resource for students to express themselves while maintaining connections with their teachers and peers. Check out this poster on Flipgrid "Netiquette". https://t.co/BVrp22hOqu

Has anyone tried using Google Meets as a resource for remote learning outside of QF? We were able to use it at school to attend meetings with colleagues, but we are unable to use Google Meets with our colleagues outside of school. @Google#qfschools
I just created a task on @Flipgrid in one minute and was able to add it to my Google Classroom very easily. I am excited to try this with my students on Sunday! #qfschools
In addition to knowing your material well and using body language to help you communicate, one should also consider the audience's reaction to gauge how you are being perceived. #qfschools
