حضرت جلسة مجلس الأمن الشهرية حول تطورات الأوضاع في سوريا، وخلال الإحاطة استمعت لحديث السيدة نجاة رشدي @rochdi_najat نائبة مبعوث الخاص لسوريا.
أشكرها على جهودها، ولكن يبدو أنها استفاضت في حديثها عن الهجمات التي استهدفت مليشيات عابرة للحدود شاركت في قتل السوريين وارتكاب جرائم ضد الإنسانية، في وقت مرت مرور الكرام على أكثر من مئتين وعشرين هجوماً من قبل نظام الأسد وروسيا ومليشيات عابرة للحدود، استهدفت البيئات المدنية والمرافق الحيوية والمدارس في شمال غربي سوريا خلال شهري أيلول وتشرين الأول وأدت لمقتل 27 مدنياً بينهم 4 أطفال، ولجرح 148 آخرين، بينهم 57 طفلاً.
كنت أتمنى أن تتحدث السيدة رشدي عن خطورة الهجمات التي يشنها نظام الأسد وحلفاؤه بالطائرات المسيرة الانتحارية وكيف تهدد هذه الأسلحة الخطيرة حياة السكان وتقوض سبل عيشهم وتمنعهم من جني محاصيلهم الزراعية.
الحيادية وعدم الانحياز هي إيصال صوت الضحايا والتضامن معهم، ومنع إفلات من ارتكب الجرائم بحقهم من العقاب.

Lacking of the accountability led to transferring the Russian aggression over and over again from country to country for years.
To end this, we have to unite our efforts against Russia to find a firm pathway for accountability and justice.

Like no other, the Syrian people understand Ukraine's grief and suffering caused by Russia's barbaric war. With the Syrian civil society leaders, we deliberated on global strategies to hold Russia accountable for all its international crimes. Symbolically, we met exactly 10 years after the horrific chemical attack in Ghouta.

Russia's complicity in civilian massacres in Syria and beyond demands a firm international response. I am grateful to @TRPUkraine and personally @IbrahimOlabi for their extraordinary efforts to make this happen: collecting the evidence for national and international litigation and advancing the investigations into Russia's crimes in the third states.

For nearly 30 years, Russia has perpetrated heinous acts in Chechnya, Georgia, Ukraine, and Syria. Regrettably, until now, its leadership remained largely unaccountable. The same goes for the members and leaders of military formations, such as the Wagner Group. We strongly believe that today is the momentum for the world to end this impunity. The key to this is to build a comprehensive web of accountability outlined in Ukraine's Peace Formula, ranging from national investigations to securing responsibility for the crime of aggression at the international level and ensuring reparations.
