@Jenny_1884 This is the economic equivalent of that stupid 'how can the mirror see through the towel' thing. The tax is being charged on the economic activity, not the money itself. If you want peaceful society to be maintained, you have to continually pay for that.

@BitcoinDurp @willywoo That's what I was thinking, maybe old hands used to hold enough of the supply to create a top when they sold, but there are enough new whales on the scene now that old hands aren't the price setters they used to be
@TahiGichigi@serumroth@MustStopMurad Miners generaly sell mining rewards straight into the open market, so when mining rewards are cut in half that has a big effect on supply/demand balance. Many traders anticipate this and so the halving is priced in before it happens.
