@TheJoshMan07 I hope they lean into the puppet thing even more in a more cozy Zelda title, like Link’s Awakening. Make them full wooden puppets and the game is a story being passed down to a group of children who are honoring the hero during a festival.
@luhsadd@DefinitelyFort Oot R has design elements that actually fit his chracter. The TP design changes don’t suit OoT at all, rightfully so. They are indeed separate characters
@luhsadd@DefinitelyFort TP Link is a knight. Because of this he wear chainmail and bland minimalist clothes.
Oot Link is a forest elf who’s clothes would be made from stuff from the forrest like fiber weave and leather. The detail works is just graphical improvements.
@luhsadd@DefinitelyFort No it isn’t. Oot Link has cuffed boots, segmented arm braces, red belts, middle parted hair and doesn’t wear chainmail. The render on the left looks bothing like Oot Link compared to OoT Re
@CapnChreest Also cool is subjective so if every artist just did what the loudest part of general public said everything would end up becoming really bland and uninspired
@mareepgirl If we’re gonna exclusively do gen 1 merch forwver can we change it up? Give me Nidoking and Nidoqueen. Give me Scyther, or Vileplume. Just anything else
@FoolishKia People really exposing how they view gender nonconforming people lately cus wdym having long hair means Shiek isn’t passing as masc or nonbinary?
@Stepheroth25 I think a middle ground would be best. I love the leather vest he has in the remake, but the detailing on the embroidered cap, and forearm guards is too much. Same with how kuch detail his tunic has. Wish they toned it down just a tad
Sheiks Redesign is genuinely awful. Fundamentally cowardly and regressive. the heavy face makeup, the long hair, the more feminine figure, id honestly be surprised if they even bother to he/him Shiek at all.
This is, by a lot, the worst design change in the remake
