What if I told you that the USDA-NRCS has literally held meetings about a CSP activity to “manage air pressure” in grain cart and other equipment to reduce compaction?
Nevermind the massive equipment that weighs so much your soils cant grow a weed without heavy tillage, but they seriously wanted to pay for the auto inflators/deflators to justify their continued use. I was on this “national soil health” call back in 2023 or 2024, and I was so fed up I hung up.
Our policies demand bigger and more damaging equipment, and then we were trying to justify it by spending more taxpayer dollars to “address the resource concern”.
Truly unreal. I had largely forgotten about it - must have blocked it out due to anger - but that’s the kind of stupidity that gives a good agency (and great people) a bad name.
We need common sense policies that get people back into rural communities, where they can invest in their homes, schools, and kids.
The dragon that no one wants to look in the eye.
The most intense production of corn counties / # people in counties = highest probability. The sad part... the most desolate areas are comprised of the primarily the family, friends, and communities you love.
Change or Choose
Not expecting this post to get shared or be popular. Silence can be loud. Silence chooses. Change means you're willing to admit we are here.
Secondly. Any progress is progress, but every thing is simply a gradual progress towards a worthy purpose.

Now is a good time to run a center pivot application uniformity test - it measures application UNIFORMITY and application AMOUNT. Contact your Pioneer Sales Rep in south central Nebraska about having one done for you. @RupeCalvin@mcclurewm@GBathen @crank1n3

I had an amazing day at KSU TAPS! I have to give the hardware team at @mygroguru a BIG shout-out! We were the only technology measuring 40" below the surface with NO CABLE or ANTENNA, and our probes will stay in the ground and keep working for the next several years!
THIS IS SO POWERFUL! ❤️ It brought tears to my eyes! Enjoy & share!

#CRMProbe (Continuous Root Zone Monitoring Probe) is a game-changer for progressive producers who want to learn more about maximizing the profit potential of their root zones!
Every time I get frustrated with how slow planting is going & im ready to rip off all the liquid systems I have on the planter I’m just gonna ride by this spot in the field without it and I’ll calm right down. Unreal difference when you have the right products in the right place
Want to know how #water actually moves through dry soil?
Check out this educational video featuring @dhgsloane the @IrrigGuru and Chief Agronomist at @mygroguru as he uses dyed water to show us exactly how water wets up dry soil!
