Roblox “Companies” are only consolidating in a desperate attempt to stay relevant.
The narrative for the last 7 years in Roblox has been that when “professionals” and “big studios” arrive that independent developers will become irrelevant and won’t have the resources to compete.
The opposite has occurred, the traditional bloat, slow approval processes and general lack of creativity has shown that these companies aren’t well positioned to new age game development.
How is the broader gaming industry going to react when for the last 10 years 70% of all gamers have grown accustomed to the gameplay trends and design patterns we have developed. They look at Roblox as low quality and esoteric, little do they know the design trends, user experience, gameplay loops is what players expect these days.
