As abject as Liverpool were (been a while since I’ve seen us quite *that* bad) Brighton were great.
Worst bit about it all? Watching the same, familiar patterns unfolding. How many times can 2 passes take 6/7 players out of the game? I can see it coming, and I’m an idiot.
In an A and E department of a Liverpool hospital, people are lying in pain on the floor, waiting hours to be seen by a doctor
This is a daily reality of the NHS crisis

This clip, including the bit where the PM asks a homeless man if he would like to get into finance, is (literally) incredible.
“I wouldn’t mind… but I’d like to get through Christmas first”.

Paul Silas — a three-time NBA champion and two-time All-Star — has passed away at 79, per @GlobeBobRyan. Silas was a fierce competitor and beloved figure. He coached several teams, including Cleveland to start LeBron James’ career. His son, Stephen, is the Rockets coach.
If one or more of Harry Kane, Gareth Bale, Eden Hazard, Simon Kjær, Manuel Neuer, Virgil van Dijk or Granit Xhaka wears the armband anyway, they become not just a football icon but a historic global figure for equality.
(It's NOT incumbent on them, obv).
As many have said, the One Love armband was a meek idea to begin with - but the threat of sanctions actually gave it some power. If England, Wales, the Netherlands etc had stood together and said they’d take the punishment, it would have put FIFA in an embarrassing position.
You’d laugh at the weakness if only it wasn’t so serious.
All the talk about equality, speaking up against discrimination, in a game with so few ‘out’ LGBT players. What solidarity ay….
"Our sales are 20% down on the predictions made in covid. Combined with a mild autumn this has left us buried under a tsunami of brassicas. This is normally the grower's problem but after being screwed by the supermarkets myself, @Riverford will do better"

As nurses vote for historic strike action, let's recognise the immense contribution that people from around the world have made to the NHS.
Our health service would not exist without an international workforce. They deserve our full support.

Just so we’re clear: if an opposition football manager says something you don’t like about your team, you can now say or sing whatever you like, and the news media will apparently present this logic absolutely uncontested.
Story includes comment from @TrussellTrust about the vital importance of the work done by football fans for food banks across the country.
A reminder that if you can no longer donate items at a match this weekend you can find your local food bank here 👇
