You have a very dark view of people. Where as I know there are great people just like there are creeps. I'm not going to generalize and become ignorant to reality. I know a few couples that are at least 10 years apart. Most have been married for decades.

Then they're basically at the same point in life. What kind of people do you know that you can't relate and enjoy the company of people of any age.

That's why you get to know someone first. The only people that will try to compensate are the ones so obsessed with societal norms, that they feel if they don't go through a partying phase, they are incomplete. But I'm guessing if he's marrying her, he knows shes not that shallow

Get caught up in their own self centeredness, flirt and end up blowing some dude in the bathroom for an ego boost. The main point is maturity. Not age, but wisdom and empathy to not think only of oneself.

Though I know a couple who were 17 and 27. Only ever were with each other. Married after dating a year, and now married for 50 years
