Today, we're introducing Relay.

Over the past few days, we've talked about a problem we believe is holding engineers back.

Engineers have incredible tools to design, simulate, test and manufacture products. But the context needed to make an engineering decision can still be scattered across CAD and CAE tools, requirements, documents, change records, conversations and other teams.

Before making a change, an engineer can end up spending valuable time simply figuring out:

What changed?
Why did it change?
What does this depend on?
What else could this affect?
We built Relay around a simple idea:
The engineer shouldn't have to be the integration layer between all of this information.
Relay is an engineering assistant designed to bring the relevant context around a change together before an engineer acts on it.

It helps surface the information, dependencies and constraints surrounding the engineer's work and organizes that context so they can understand the potential impact before making the engineering decision.

Relay doesn't replace engineering judgment.

It gives engineering judgment better context.

And this is only the first step.

We're starting with the individual engineer because that's where this problem is experienced every day. Over time, we want to extend that connected context across engineering teams and organizations.
