We had such, such a wonderful visit today with @RitaLorraine!! Our students loved The Oldest Student and it was inspiring to hear her talk about it and her writing 💖
I’m so proud of our inventors and innovators! They they made us proud today at the Piranha Tank! And a huge thank you to our judges! @WaxpoolES @MickiLovesMath @Janie4learning
No MAP score can measure how much my students grew emotionally. Watching them cheer each other on when a student reaches a behavior goal almost brought me to tears. @LCPS_SEL
Character Studies book clubs! Students taking notes and become so passionate about their characters they started debating the importance of character change. @WaxpoolES @WaxpoolReading
After an awesome Google Meet with our expert Mr. Hume, an engineer, these super students are well on their way to creating rockstar projects for our upcoming Piranha Tank! Time to critique & revise and write our pitches! Final products coming soon! 🥳@PBLWorks @WaxpoolES
Thank you to Mr.Hume, our engineer expert who spoke to the 3rd graders about the planning/designing process of creating a machine! Students used what they learned from the speaker to revise their blueprints. #simplemachines#pbl#piranhapoWEr@PBLWorks @WaxpoolES
These two events this week reminded me, why I still teach. A parent who thanked me for being there for her and her child through this tough time for their family and a child who ran to give me a hug because, “you made division so easy.”
One my students told me that we had a problem. She was concerned that our PBL will not have a public product because we don’t have a way to share it with the rest of the world. @PBLWorks What do you think?
