As Jamaat e Islami ameer embarked on a visit to Turkey, its foot soldiers in Bangladesh further stepped up ongoing cultural genocide to erase Bangladesh’s cultural icons who are recognised by the world as symbol of tolerance and peace.

In addition, the polymath, Rabindranath’a lyrics was adopted as the national anthem in 1971 during the Bangladesh Liberation War (officially declared on January 13, 1972).
