Badenochs speech was really very good just now.
Look, we have to be honest about 2024: the voters gave the Tories a brutal, necessary wake-up call🤦♀️We earned that loss.
Badenoch is doing all she can to recognise where it went wrong and to rectify it.
But looking at the wreckage of what’s happening now under Labour the British electorate faces a serious choice.
At the minute we are flooded with parties selling cheap, instant answers.
But shouting slogans won’t fix the country or reform a failing state.
Knee-jerk reactions are a trap.
We also know Labour’s default position is always the same: tax more, spend more, regulate more, and pretend the state can give us prosperity from a desk in Whitehall, or Number 10 North fgs.
It has never worked.
The real Conservatism Badenoch is talking about isn’t chasing the 24-hour news cycle with half-baked policy promises to win a headline.
It’s about doing the quiet, behind the scenes work to get the principles right first: liberty, state competence, and personal growth.
The choice ahead of us isn’t between different management teams.
It’s a choice between superficial soundbites that crumble under pressure, and a calm, serious plan designed to rebuild Britain’s foundations.
Intellectually Badenoch is head and shoulders above the rest - Common sense wise - ditto.
It would be a serious mistake to gravitate towards a political party because they shout the loudest.
We have to choose substance imo.
Given that a Reform leader was jailed for receiving money from Russia, you'd think @BBCNews@itvnews@SkyNews would be interested in Matt Goodwin receiving £10,000 a month from the far-right in Hungary. But no, they aren't.
Goodwin, Orban, Russia & Thiel
Matt Goodwin who is standing for Reform UK in this month’s Gorton and Denton by-election, who says he wants his “country back”, received a salary of up to €10,000 a month from a far-right pressure group based in Hungary.
The Mathias Corvinus Collegium (MCC) is a college and propaganda outfit for Hungary’s authoritarian leader Viktor Orbán. It is funded in part by a 10% stake in MOL Group – an energy giant that refines oil, most of which comes from Russia.

Muhammad, you absolute idiotic moron, what the fuck are you on about?
The university has nothing to do with this. Zero involvement. The Debating Society is a student-run group under the independent Bangor University Students’ Union, a separate legal entity with its own rules, money, and decisions.
The university stays politically neutral and has made clear the society’s views don’t represent it.
Blaming the university is like blaming a company because a unionised employee refused to talk politics with you in a union event of a union that runs its own events, collects its own subs, and decides who gets to speak at union meetings. Does it sound stupid?! Yes!! And that's how you sound (and are).
No debating society has any duty to host people they don’t want. They can pick and choose.
Though it would’ve been entertaining as fuck to watch 20–25-year-old students wipe the floor with Reform’s substandard candidates in a real debate.
@KathrynDW59@Conservatives That's because you are Labour councillor, taking every damn expense you can, not your typical pensioner. Pathetic like the rest of your party. Go find some potholes to play with.
@HaoDu888@Conservatives Reform are partly responsible for the mess that is now unfolding, them and Labour. At the end of the day Reform is a party of Conservatives, what does that really say about Reform, bandwagon.
@Conservatives If you vote Labour, I'm in Wales, Labour the devolved government here for 20+miserable years. The NHS hasn't changed, Eluned Morgan, First Labour Minister for Wales told us a Westminster Labour government would improve everything in Wales, Council taxes up 9+% 3rd year LIES!!
@TRACYMOORE66@Nigel_Farage@KemiBadenoch No we don't, if you want to believe go right ahead, just like all those who voted Labour and Reform last time, the economy has now started to tank and now change to immigration but the one deterrent that was planned ripped up. Farage is creating chaos.
@gillradcliffe@dave43law@ITVNewsPolitics@Nigel_Farage @lewisUTBdenison What funding, we pay no matter what, it costs and despite that I want my daughter to go and study Music, there is a career in music and many others. The music and creative industry is worth millions. He loves to talk down to people, an absolute bum wipe & IMO 2 close 2 Putin.

@simon_beamish@jamieoliver@wesstreeting if a child aged 6+ as quoted on the article is drinking them then it's not the child buying them, parents need to give their heads a wobble and Labour need to figure out not everything is the fault of the Tories.
@StevenJonMiller@GBNEWS@GBNEWS @StevenJonMill The two tier system is very active here in Wales. The Welsh Labour Government act as a dictatorship towards its people, the word 'blanket' is banned #20mph
