She gave illegal migrants $30,000 to help them pay for housing, $4,000 a month in EBT Cash benefits, Food assistance, and free healthcare #Massachusetts

State data released in April 2025 shows Governor Maura Healey’s administration had already burned through $706.8 million on the emergency housing assistance program in Fiscal Year 2025.

Of that total, $537 million went directly to shelter payments, by far the biggest expense.
The next largest was $77 million for housing assistance programs designed to move families, including migrants, into longer-term housing.

That pace put the state on track to exceed the $894 million it spent in fiscal year 2024, during the final stretch of the Biden administration, when record numbers of illegal migrants were crossing the southern border and many ended up in Massachusetts.
On April 16, 2025, the Healey administration announced that the number of families in state shelters had dropped below 5,000 for the first time since July 2023.
The decline came after President Trump took office and launched aggressive border enforcement and deportation operations.

Official CBP data showed a 96% drop in illegal migrant crossings compared to the average during the Biden years. Fewer new arrivals reaching Massachusetts eased pressure on the shelter system.
Healey tried to take the credit pointing to things like stay limits and stricter eligibility rules, as the main reason for the drop. But the sharp reduction in illegal migrant crossings after President Trump restored border security is what brought the numbers down, according to experts.
Taxpayers in Massachusetts are still paying the bill for years of Biden's failed federal policies, and Healey's failed democrat policies that cost American taxpayers.
