I ran into Pirate Software in the parking lot today. He had just got done unloading groceries into his car.

As I walked up to say hello, he pushed his shopping cart directly into the middle of the road, nearly missing a car that was driving by.

"Hey man, big fan, but are you going to put that shopping cart back?" I asked.

"I don't know what you're talking about," he replied.

"You pushed it directly into the middle of the road! You almost hit that car!" I said, confused.

"That's not what happened," he answered.

"Oh well, I swear I saw-"

"No, you didn't see anything," he interrupted, "and the shopping cart is now exactly where it should be."

"In the middle of the road? It might damage someone's car" I replied.

"Listen to me. I've designed thousands of parking lots. If the person who designed this one knew ANYTHING, they would know that the cart return should go right there," he responded, pointing to the middle of the road.

A car approached, swerving around the shopping cart.

He pulled out his phone and started taking pictures of me.

"Look man, I don't know what's going on, I'm just gonna go put the cart back for you," I said.

"No you're not," he replied, getting into his car.

He then proceeded to back up, hitting the shopping cart he left in the center of the road, sending it flying into a small sedan that was parked nearby.

"You just scratched my car, dipshit," he said.

He then proceeded to speed off.

I am still confused at what happened.
