I watched Arsenal against Chelsea yesterday and I was honestly disappointed. This is the Premier League champions? I’m sorry, but that performance did not look like a team capable of going deep in the Champions League.

They may have won the Premier League last season, and credit to them for that, but if they think they can take this level of football into Europe, they’re in for a very rude awakening.

I saw very little quality. The football was slow, predictable and, at times, honestly difficult to watch. They rely far too much on set pieces, physicality and waiting for something to happen.

And then you hear Arsenal fans talking about the Champions League like it’s already theirs.

No chance.

Europe is a completely different animal.

You won’t get away with everything you get away with in England. You won’t get referees constantly giving you the benefit of the doubt. You won’t be able to complain your way through every difficult moment.

Against Chelsea, I felt some of the big decisions went Arsenal’s way, and that helped them massively. But if your plan is to depend on officials when the football isn’t convincing, you’re not winning the Champions League.

Real Madrid, Bayern, Barcelona, PSG — these teams will punish you.

And I’ll say something even stronger: if Arsenal continue playing this way, I don’t see them winning anything in Europe.

Winning the Premier League last season is history. Congratulations, enjoy it. But the Champions League is asking a completely different question now.

Can you perform against the best teams in Europe?

Can you handle pressure?

Can you create chances without relying on set pieces?

Can you win when the referee isn’t giving you the decisions?

That’s where I have my doubts.

Arsenal have a very good squad, but sometimes they play like a team terrified of losing rather than a team desperate to win.

And if they take that mentality into the Champions League, they’ll be watching the latter stages from the sofa.

Premier League champions? Absolutely.

Champions League contenders? After watching that performance, I’m not convinced.”

🗣️ “Arsenal are not playing an entertaining brand of football, and honestly, it’s something the Premier League needs to look into. If teams are allowed to keep getting away with this approach, the game will become increasingly frustrating to watch, and it will only create more hostility between clubs.

Arsenal have always been a club I respected, but I’ve genuinely lost some of that respect because of the way they play. They are extremely good at what I’d call “ghost fouls” — those little off-the-ball fouls that referees somehow overlook, as well as some blatant ones that everyone can see.

Yes, Arsenal call it “set-piece football” and being physically clever, but there has to be a line. If you want to be recognised as champions, then act like champions. Football should be about competing, not finding every possible way to disrupt the opposition.

The biggest problem isn’t even Arsenal themselves — it’s that referees keep allowing it. And if this continues, the game we love is going to become increasingly unpleasant to watch.”

Beberapa kali scroll media sosial dan menemukan beberapa akun mulai tidak mengunggulkan PSS sebab 4 laga sisa yang jauh lebih sulit dibandingkan pesaingnya. Tapi ini sungguh membuat saya senang! Sungguh senang! Senang sekaligus lega!

Kenapa? Karena membiarkan PSS datang sebagai kuda hitam sama saja membuat napas PSS jauh lebih kuat dua kali lipat. Beban di punggung lepas dan kuda ini akan melaju lebih kencang. Tersepelekan itu sungguh nikmat. Lihat dan nikmati alur yang akan terjadi. Bertepuk tanganlah ketika di akhir nanti semua berpihak ke kita.

Empat lawan terakhir PSS memang punya kepentingan masing-masing. Semoga semua kepentingan mereka sudah digugurkan sebelum dipertemukan dengan PSS. Tuhan sekalian alam memberkati jalan ini. Bismillah!
