@ChaponaBike123 @CatharineHoey @JeremyVineOn5 A £500 fine, which is most likely the total of the actual fine, costs and Victim Surcharge, would have been imposed in Court. Had it been a fixed penalty notice the fine would have been £200.

I reported a taxi driver for phone use, he got six points but £ zero fine, costs etc.
