StreamElements gave creators 30 days to save what they could before shutdown🫠
$111M raised + SoftBank backing. None of it changed the outcome.
That is the problem with renting your digital life from someone else.
With ElastOS, your content, files, apps, and creator tools can live on your own machine
ElastOS is one user-owned system of four parts:
Blockchain for identity, ownership and governance.
Runtime for app permissions.
PC2 for your personal cloud today.
Carrier for private communication.
This week brings key parts closer in practice.

Your digital assets should run on nodes you own.
ElastOS World Computer is how we get there, one personal cloud at a time.

Council Member ≠ Management
There is confusion around the role of Elastos DAO Council members.
Being a Council member does NOT mean you become “management of Elastos,” a legal representative of the ecosystem. Council members are governance participants whose primary role is to review Proposals, vote independently, and help facilitate decentralized decision-making.
Considering running for the Elastos DAO Council?
Here are the benefits.
*Earn 17% on a 5,000 ELA stake
*Receive additional non-ELA rewards.
*Earn 250 ELA every 6 months for maintaining 99% node uptime.
*Vote on DAO funding proposals.
Help shape the future of the Elastos ecosystem.

🔍💸Proposal #213 Update: Transfer and Operation of Infrastructure Servers
The DAO Secretariat worked together with the WCI and EF to review and optimize the infrastructure server setup in April. As a result, the April server costs were reduced from ~$7,700 to ~$5,178 even with a new server added for Essentials services.
The expenses continue to be jointly covered by the EF and WCI team on behalf of the DAO.
Big thanks to WCI team especially @sash__mit, @4HM3D_ and EF for helping optimize and support the infrastructure operations.
Post-v1.2 week was about making ElastOS feel smoother 🔥
Fresh install fixes, cleaner launcher status, WalletConnect + ESC swap fixes, faster media playback, dApp Centre polish, Runtime Home progress, Explorer fixes, and Elacity BD progress

My PC2 Box has been upgraded to ElastOS V1.2. Both local and remote desktop access are now functioning consistently. The apps (AppCapsules) are working, although they’re not perfect yet. The Elastos World Computer (the SmartWeb) has made significant improvements.
⚠️ ECO Chain will be shut down on June 13, 2026, following approval of the termination proposal.
Users still holding assets on ECO Chain should move them immediately before support ends.
After June 13, remaining assets may become unrecoverable.

Elastos aims to build a new Internet operating system, complete with its native ELA token. The token is designed to convey value seamlessly across different WebSpaces and social network communities through side-chains and friend-chains—whether those platforms are centralized or decentralized, and regardless of whether they are labeled Web2, Web3, Web4, or Web5.
With this vision in mind, two key objectives were established when the Elastos Foundation (EF) was chartered: first, to build the initial SmartWeb prototype; and second, to transform https://t.co/S0MMkMoHpo into a W3C-like consortium dedicated to community-driven development and the creation of technical standards and specifications, while the EF gradually relinquishes control.
The Elastos DAO is now the owner of Elastos’ trademarks and related domain names. The migration of the GitHub account is another significant symbol of this decentralized governance transition.
Last week was about making ElastOS safer, smoother, and easier to use.
Runtime v0.1.2 is now out, dDRM now supports protected ebooks and comics, PC2 recovery and Docker safety got better, and reading inside dDRM now feels much more natural.

A lot moved this week inside ElastOS.
A new generation of Elacity’s dDRM smart contracts is now in place. The personal computer now has its own NFT marketplace app, Runtime v0.1.2 is getting ready for public release, and a proper main chain explorer is underway.

ElastOS v1.2 is getting close ⚡
A lot has been happening this week as the team keeps pushing toward release later this month. Work has continued across the runtime, dDRM V3, dApps running directly inside PC2, block explorer progress, and bringing council node costs down.
That includes more testing around room-based permissions, more work on separate ElastOS computers interacting with each other in real time, continued progress on getting dApps running properly inside the personal cloud computer, and ongoing infrastructure work to make node operation cheaper while keeping the same stability.
And that is only part of this weeks progress..

Make Money Online! Whats so clever are that royalties are tokens too (1 token = 0.01%) which accumulate income from asset trading, and every asset has this whole economy baked in.
This is a dual market for decentralized identities, trade goods or their royalties peer-to-peer in ElastOS sovereign computer, humans or agents alike. Join us! https://t.co/I3Pc8zLDr8 - V1.2 coming this month.
Elastos is entering a new phase.
The active product work around the World Computer vision is now being carried forward by Elacity Labs through public, DAO funded mandates. Elacity Labs is separate from the Elastos/NBW Foundation, and that distinction should be clear.
Elastos documentation portal is now live 🐘
A new home for Elastos docs across Blockchain, PC2, Runtime, and Carrier, with user guides, developer docs, deep references, search, AI chat, and full repo inventory.
