I hope this photo is a watershed moment.
Forced to carry on to the end of the race with a broken back.
Collapsed & died after the finish line.
RIP Gold Dancer.
If you’re making money off this kind of suffering - how do you look at yourself in the mirror?
@but_cyclists Chain either snapped or came off. See cyclist's right leg - seems to extend beyond the pedal stroke (come off the pedal) as all tension is immediately lost. Ask me how I know...
Rebuilding the area of Los Angeles destroyed by global warming-induced wildfires is expected to cost a minimum of $250 BILLION with costs rising due to the need to remove vast amounts of toxic waste.
If you think 'net zero costs too much', I have some terrible news for you.
Trevor Philips, "You can't keep saying you've inherited these problems"
Wes Streeting, "Hang on a second, I don't think any government has come in to find prisons full to bursting"
"I don't think any government has come in with crumbling state infrastructures, from hospital buildings to schools, to prisons, to transport infrastructure"
"There is a real challenge"
@BenjiNaesen 1. Ride on WFH lunch break without worrying about punctures, easy to execute quality intervals
2. With 3 fans (inc a vacmaster) it's usually either too hot or too cold, less comfortable
3. Seeing & smelling the world, vitamin D
4. Cars everywhere, it's always windy in Norfolk
@teslaaar @Alan_Couzens Exactly. This isn't applicable to 99% of average folks. For cycling, only tool needed to set training zones for FTP and under is a power meter (over FTP just go max). Apply RPE adjustments judiciously as required.
Oh look, we’d only need £50bn spent on wind energy to power ALL UK HOMES.
But we’re just going to GIVE the energy companies 4x that, £200bn, even though they’re about to make £170bn profit.
None of this makes rational sense.
