The Biden admin told Congress that the FBI’s targeting of Catholics was limited to “a single product by a single field office.” 

That was a bald faced lie. They infiltrated parishes, observed masses, tracked the movements and communications of priests, and prepared extensive reports to paint traditional Catholics as domestic terrorists because we reject modernity, oppose abortion, and hold conservative family values.

The impetus was the Times declining to run a column I wrote from the perspective of two female student athletes who were opposed to competing against biological males. Christians in Taybeh, one of the only remaining Christian towns in the West Bank, have been facing continued and increased attacks from Israeli settlers.

The settlers have been damaging property and cutting off access to water and electricity.

I want to thank the Israeli government for issuing an order that closed the town to Israeli citizens. Unfortunately that order is being ignored and I would urge the government to increase enforcement.

Christians in the Holy Land must be protected.

I know I’ve been posting a lot recently, but as Fr. Richard John Neuhaus used to say, “it’s a target-rich environment” right now.

The governor of Massachusetts just signed into law a statute that permits abortion up until the moment of birth, as long as mother and doctor give the go-ahead.
Please understand what this means. A fully-formed child, moments before exiting the birth canal, can be eviscerated, chopped into pieces, have its head crushed or skin burned off—all under the full protection of Massachusetts law.

What I found particularly gross was the reaction of the entirely female crowd around the female governor of Massachusetts as she signed this barbaric provision into law. They were clapping and cackling with delight because what can only be called infanticide can now be practiced with impunity in their state.

I’m old enough to remember when Mario Cuomo, the devoutly Catholic governor of New York, admitted that, though he found abortion personally repugnant, he was, after tortured wrestling with his conscience, willing to give it limited protection of law.

How far we have fallen from agonized and conflicted Cuomo to the present governor of Massachusetts and her entourage gleefully applauding the murder of children.

You sued me for protecting parents’ constitutional rights. You pushed policies that put boys in girls’ sports and private spaces. You protected pedos and signed laws that weakened accountability for adults who do egregious things to children . And when voters showed they wanted a different direction for education, you used your power in Sacramento to strip authority from the elected State Superintendent’s office and broke the glass because you hated seeing me win the primary.

That isn’t leadership. That’s a low politician afraid of losing control.

California parents are awake. We see the gaslighting. We see the power grabs. You poked the wrong CA bears… the mama bears and this one is not backing down.
