@fehrgolf@LouStagner @MurdoggRupert The only way to play golf now is driver off every hole that isn't a Par 3. Fairway woods, hybrids and long irons are only for the second shot on par 5's. Used any other time you're playing golf wrong. Might be a bit of sarcasm in this post.
@MarchbankAndrew@vanDiemenChris@jamogolf@mikeclaytongolf@RossBakerGolf There was no limit, then in 1938 USGA introduced a limit of 14. The PGA of America members apparently didn't like this so in PGA events there was a limit 16 clubs for 10 years or so. Different sources have between '46 and '48 before the PGA followed the USGA bag limit.
@justinbaumann @LouStagner Tennis has been using slower balls and courts. Swimming banned swimsuits made of certain materials. Track athletes shoe rules have been changed this year.
@BennyFrank3rd @b_dechambeau Benny, are you sure you didn't misread the memo and the quote is actually"disapproves of gambling in connection with golf tournaments unless we are making money..."
2/2 The course slope rating, par, course rating and scratch ratings used for the above from https://t.co/8ffV7Lhava and https://t.co/kT2OdRhnRr what is the difference between course rating and scratch rating?
1/2 @GolfAust@RandA Where did I go wrong entering the data. Using https://t.co/QOC39P8ktO and https://t.co/tGSLMGa0Tv I get 3 different results for the same course. For a handicap that is worldwide shouldn't one of the RandA results give the same result as the GA result?
@fitzygolfpro@RossBakerGolf@mikeclaytongolf a couple of months ago the 3 of you talked about Sydney vs Sandbelt wedges. Do you have any examples of a 'Sandbelt' wedge? What made a good SB wedge in terms of bounce, sole width and how it was used?
@RossBakerGolf@fitzygolfpro@mikeclaytongolf Yeah, I think that is what I was wanting to find out. Now I have a picture of what people are talking about Sydney and Sandbelt sandwedges.
Right guys and gals here is the moment you've been waiting for, my little project and I'm absolutely thrilled to bits with the result. Thank you so much to @rmphotography5 for the image, I think it speaks volumes.
Please all RT, we need to get the message out to everyone 🥰
@MarchbankAndrew@ewanports Aren't ankle or just above ankle length socks when worn with shorts a fairly recent addition many golf clubs permitted attire lists? I have read prior to ankle socks with shorts being allowed it was below knee walk socks at most clubs and calf length for the progressives.
@robelinda2 One of the worst/best run outs that I can vaguely remember is from the early/mid 90s in a State match at the WACA with someone run out from 3rd Man or Fine Leg off a No Ball. One or more of these details could be wrong it was a while ago.
