Since 2008 California has spent $15 billion and has not connected a single city or laid a single track. It is now projected to cost more than $200 billion to finish despite being proved nearly impossible to complete.

In 2008 China also announced a high-speed rail and has now connected the entire country with over 30,000 miles while California has connected 0 miles.

Over $500 million has gone to contractors who could not work, homes are currently being built on the alignment, and farmers will lose their farms. We’re building an ADU in Carlsbad. Asked @SDGE for a meter spot on Jan 9 this year. It’s Sept 4. Still no answer.

Meter spot should take 10 to 15 business days. We’re at 238 days.

SDG&E charges the highest electric rates in the continental US, raised them 11% this year, and can’t tell a builder where a meter goes. This is San Diego’s energy company.

🚨 Confronting California Politicians behind the “Stop Nick Shirley Act”:
California’s Attorney General’s wife has created a bill titled AB 2624 (aka the Stop Nick Shirley Act) that will fine citizens and journalists a minimum $4,000 for exposing and searching for potential fraud inside Immigration Support Service Providers and take away their First Amendment rights.

This bill will protect NGOs, nonprofits, legal offices, healthcare facilities and learing centers who provide services to immigrants. If an immigration service provider gives you a piece of paper saying you cannot publish your video, you may be fined $4,000 and have to pay for their legal fees.

Instead of pushing for more transparency, California is trying to shield journalists and citizens from looking into where their tax dollars are going. California politicians need the fraud to continue.

🚨BREAKING: CA wants to spend $132,000 jailing each individual journalist that exposes fraud.

The bill to criminalize journalists for exposing fraud, a.k.a. the “Stop Nick Shirley Act,” went into a Suspense File, but not to die. After being heard in the Senate Appropriations Committee, it is expected to come out on August 13th or 14th, then go to the Senate floor for a full vote.

After it goes to the Senate, it will return to the State Assembly for concurrence (where it will pass again as amended) and then go to the Governor for signature. They are only a few steps away from taking away free speech and spending hundreds of thousands per individual arrestee to do it.

My young friend, Lucky (@politicallucky), and I testified on Nick’s behalf to put a stop to this atrocity. It appears the Governor would rather prioritize criminalizing journalists or banning traditional blackjack in cardrooms over protecting the taxpayer dollars of the state citizenry.

Maybe Newsom should write off less Armani on his taxes and listen to the young men and women more. Or at least work to imprison those engaged in “payment for new voter registrations” schemes operating along Skid Row.
