LINQTO ZOOM:

Unfortunately, a hacker joined the zoom call and interjected it with pornography and we had to end the call. Some morons love ruining things for everyone. I was recording the session and intended to post it for those locked out or who could not attend but I won’t now because of the compromised video. I will set up a conference call and we will try this again,
not on zoom. I apologize that people had to be subject to that nonsense.

I informed people that prior to placing substantial funds on the platform I had used Linqto myself to purchase pre-IPO shares of @SoFi. Once SoFi went public, Linqto transferred my shares into my Charles Schwab account. Everything worked perfectly. After that successful experience, I purchased more shares of other companies and have placed substantial funds on the platform.

I’m receiving emails from folks who feel embarrassed and fearful that they were suckered into a scam. There is no reason to beat yourself up for investing on the platform. I did as well. This is NOT an @SBF_FTX @FTX_Official scenario.

A new Executive Team was brought in to take over Linqto management. There are currently some regulatory compliance issues being dealt with, including working with the @SECGov.

The new CEO of @linqtoinc reached out and spoke with me today.

What I communicated in the short video tonight was that I believe everyone’s funds, including mine, are safe in an appropriate account. Private equity shares of the companies you (and I) acquired (eg @Ripple @circle @krakenfx) are where they’re supposed to be.

After speaking with the CEO, it seems as though bankruptcy is not imminent or expected, although one can never rule it out. But even if Linqto filed for bankruptcy, our shares of companies SHOULD be safe and protected. In fact, if there was a bankruptcy filing, and one of the companies on the Platform (Circle, Kraken or Ripple) were to go to market, your and my shares should still go into our brokerage accounts as planned.

From my understanding, the compliance issues being dealt with are AML/KYC matters and they’re being resolved and I was led to believe that the Linqto business is expected to resume sometime in the near future.

The CEO seemed to acknowledge that the situation and vague communication have caused many customers to become unnerved, anxious and angry. He communicated that he hopes to provide more information and clarity soon.

That is, in essence, is all I know. There is a lot of misinformation online. If we need to take legal action to protect our investments, we will, but that doesn’t seem to be the case right now. I hope this gives many of you some relief although I clearly do not have all the answers to all of our questions.

Like I said, I will set up a conference call to make up for the absolute disaster of a zoom call. JD ✌️

127 DAYS UNTIL WE RETIRE @ewarren

I have always rejected those who say: “that’s impossible.”

Here are a few examples throughout my life when I was told: “that’s impossible” or “it can’t be done.”

FIRST TIME:

After being repeatedly beaten and brutally raped at gun and knifepoint from 9-11 years old, I was told it would be impossible for me to get away without me or my mother being killed.

RESULT:

Although it caused me some issues, I did ok for myself, and now, I’m running for U.S. Senate against one of Washington’s most entrenched Elites, while my beautiful mother lived another forty years after witnessing her son make it.

SECOND TIME:

It will be impossible for you to graduate high school living in Highland Park, Detroit. All of your siblings dropped out and so will you.

RESULT:

After having a gun shoved in my mouth the first day of high school, I did drop out for the first 3 months. But at 14 years old, given a chance by a catholic high school principal who cut the tuition in half, I worked 18 hour days commuting from Highland Park to the suburbs, working at a restaurant after playing football and basketball, making payments on my tuition and ultimately graduating with Honors.

THIRD TIME:

It will be impossible for you to get through the intense first year of law school while working 20-30 hours per week and undergoing chemo treatment for testicular cancer.

RESULT:

Living in Roxbury, there were days I didn’t eat because I had no money and tbh, there were dark times. I even had a brief moments of giving up on life. But I didn’t. Not only did I make it through the first year of law school, I was in the top 25%, making it onto Law Journal (just missing Law Review). I graduated from New England Law in Boston with honors.

FOURTH TIME:

It will be impossible for you to make it through grueling USMC training with a broken dead navicular bone in your right wrist. You can’t even do push-ups the normal way because of your wrist and you’re right handed - they will definitely kick you out so don’t even try.

RESULT:

Although painful and some exercises much more challenging than normal (eg rope climbing), after 10 weeks, I was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the Marines the summer of 1994.

FIFTH TIME:

It will be nearly impossible for you with $175K in debt, with 2 kids and a wife, to open up a law practice in a niche field (mesothelioma), controlled by a few big law firms that have cornered or monopolized the New England market. You’re crazy AND stupid for giving up $200-300K per year just to own your own business. You shouldn’t even try.

RESULT:

It wasn’t easy. I maxed out my credit cards at $100K my first year and had a business loss that year of
-$175K. It was VERY stressful and I felt like it was me against the world at times, and I had doubts along the way. But I know one definition of success and entrepreneurship is a willingness to live a few years like most people won’t, in order to live more years like most people can’t. Six years later, I was debt free, including my house and business property.

THIS TIME:

“You can’t beat @SenWarren IN MASSACHUSETTS, as a Republican, with Donald Trump, who lost MA by 33 points in 2020, at the top of the ticket.”

RESULT:

We will find out come November 5th.
