I still occasionally have a flashback to when Khalid missed his concert at UCSB bc he accidentally drove down to UCSD instead

We had a call that there was an injured cat on the streets at a little distance from us - so we went to find him.
He was in a bad condition and we took him back to the sanctuary clinic.
We have seen enough war injuries to know what we were looking at.
He was a victim of a bomb that hit the area some days ago. He has been too close to the explosion to escape the deadly shrapnel - and it had taken off his leg below the elbow, leaving the shattered bone exposed. Open to dirt and flies and infection.
How do these small animals endure this amount of pain?
The vet immediately amputated the bone and stitched the wound closed.
He was given pain relief and was well enough a few days later to eat some meat soup. A good sign.
We really need to restock on anaesthesia, medicines, serum, bandages, pain relief, bandages, plaster.
It really is a matter of life and death for these souls.
Please help us to keep saving lives.

Was working & overheard 2 tweens start a convo with a blue-haired tween that was at a computer. I just hear “wait, so are you GAY” to BH & I got ready to walk over, then I hear BH: “well..I mean yeah. Kinda” [silence] Tween 1: “honestly, me too a little” T2: “ngl same tho” 💀💀😭

If you think fertilized eggs are people but parents who've crossed the oceans with their kids aren't, stop pretending your concerns are religious.

This post made me tear up because almost every single thing happened to me too. There’s a lot of grief I still have to reflect on from all the years I lost “trying” to be “good enough” for friends and school and family and life in general

I wasn’t considered for ADHD diagnosis for this reason. I had to pursue it myself.

during my second ADHD evaluation, when asked about school and college, here’s the coping mechanisms I listed:

If we’re doing living wage discourse again I’ll reiterate that at a minimum anyone working a full time job should be able to own a house, a car, raise three kids, and take a two week vacation every year. If that sounds unreasonable its only because we let the wealthy decide it is

A provisional balance:
- 20 kittens died from the impact of the rockets.
-10 kittens with bad epilepsy attack from the shock .
- 8 cats with splinters in various parts of the body (including eyes).
This balance can changed dramatically in the next hours .
