@myanxietyass@crissmix_ He's been seen hanging out with Amber Riley and Ashley Fike pretty often and was on Kevin and Jenna's podcast. Pretty sure the joke originates from crisscolfer shippers who at one point were convinced there was a conspiracy to hide their real life relationship
@cptnsgr@thkone66 Like isn't that the worst part, that the explanation for past gaslighting comes with more gaslighting? He didn't get to keep his memories (allegedly he didn't want them) and he doesn't get to be upset about it, bc armand says so. And can he believe Armand ?
@cptnsgr@thkone66 I think answering the question definitely one way or another is a disservice to the story, especially coming from the show runner. The not knowing is the gripping part for me. Especially bc of the way Armand tells Louis about "you have no right to be angry, you asked me to"
@yellowclint@cptnsgr How would Louis' consent be meaningful in a situation where he can't even remember giving it? Leaving the question open gives more insight into Louis' character and his relationship w/ Armand than taking what Armand said at face value
@yellowclint@cptnsgr The thing is, the way the show tells the story, you can never know, and Louis can never know, bc armand has fucked with his mind so much at this point. There's a scene where Louis repeats, verbatim, what Armand told Daniel in another scene "Mr du lac can act out etc..."
@boislatass I think it yielded positive results with something like the trial when they used Santiago aping the discourse to reiterate their point about the story they were telling and the themes around abuse they were exploring, but in a lestat centered season it can be a hindrance
@itscamilleport@JAlJENSEN I haven't trusted that man since he used the quote "everybody loves Louis" from the song from Sunday in the park with George about LDPDL. The Louis in the song is mid and a second choice and has nothing in common with LDPDL, that man talks nonsense sometimes
@JAlJENSEN@itscamilleport And given that we learn about it from Armand after watching how hard Louis and Daniel fought to recover these memories, how is that trustworthy information? Armand, gaslighter in chief, is telling the truth about Louis wanting his mind fucked with?
@kaylienki@InPlaceofStrife@margotcatgirl You're being really callous about something serious here. Concert venues have staff who will coordinate with first responders in these instances and any personal call you make will probably not go through bc concerts don't have great service
@danlouthinker@cryinginasexual Even if some people believe it's a nice detail to convey the unreliability of recollection, it works much better to leave it unaddressed than to draw attention to it. Like Sam gained weight for s3 and vampires aren't supposed to in universe, will they have a line explaining that?
@urbansycamore@dlsintegrations Je te rejoins sur les détails erronés du récit de Louis, surtout les détails comme la longueur des cheveux de lestat, c'est un peu trop facile de discréditer la parole de Louis sur ces bases
@kaylienki@idontdodxrgs@hvsperus@margotcatgirl Bc you're using the actual tragedy of these ppl in a argument to bolster your point. If you don't want to attend a concert where you can't use your phone, don't. Just don't pretend there's a much better reason than you simply not wanting to
@kaylienki@flowersanctuary@margotcatgirl Well hopefully you would follow the safety instructions the venue is giving, through employees or signage, bc those are tested to be safe in case of emergencies
