@BBQsnob On this date last year my cost for brisket was 2.69 / lb. Today it was $4.69 / lb. That is a 71% increase. On this date last year I charged $20.99 / lb for brisket. Today I am charging $26.99 / lb. That is a 29% increase.🤔

@elintaware @BBQsnob Your numbers do not factor in the 50% loss on the brisket after trimming and cooking it.

@patwaite @BBQsnob When a brisket is trimmed and cooked there is a minimum of 50% loss and usually a 55% loss. A 12 lb brisket will yield 5.5 to 6 lbs. Using that recalculate your numbers.

@BBQsnob We are paying $4.69/lb for choice. That is up from $2.69/lb (2) months ago. Our smoked brisket per pound is $24.99. We should be at $29.99 but this area won’t pay that. Hoping it will trend down soon ……. 🤷🏻‍♂️
