Protests are the beating heart of a democracy. With the one being led by Sonam Wangchuk and Neha and Ameen and Manish, let's take a moment to also learn. Learn that wearing bangles or mehendi is not a sign of weakness. Let's learn that signs that have traditionally been attributed to women are not to be used as insults. Let's learn that sexism and misogyny cannot be forgiven just because the oppressed decides to use them as tools.

We can always learn to use the right language to further our cause. We cannot and must not abandon ideology for the moment.
