I always look around when walking to our restaurant table, get a good look at the food. As we sit, there's an older black couple sitting right behind me. I see she’s eating ribs, he’s got the burger. Two exact things I’m considering, so I turn around:
“Excuse me, hi there. How are your meals? I’m deciding between those two exact plates”
She responds “the ribs are a weekly special, only on Friday’s. Meat falls off the bone. There’s no question, hmmm mmm.” He gives a bit of side eye and a funny smirk.
"Thank you, ribs it is" and I turn back around.
“Excuse me sir, hand me your plate”
She’s gonna give me a bite. I go to hand her my plate. I see my children wince a bit with the "Dad, dont accept embarrassment face..." so I turn back to them and say: “Guys, you know I’d do the exact same thing”
They know its true. They give me slight shoulder shrug and smiles.
I accept the bite....she's right, slam dunk decision. But I get the sauce on the side. Full rack.
Plate arrives and its huge. I offer to return the favor but she wouldn’t accept. She's already packed up with leftovers. They stop and say bye on the way out, entire family interacts.
A reminder to live an interactive life. Talk to strangers. Be kind. Structure your life so that 90% of your interactions are with real people. Otherwise you go online see constant hate, jealousy, racism, and think the world is going to end.
At least four people have been charged with intentionally starting fires in Colorado this year, despite high fire danger throughout the state. https://t.co/dYtfI0IL5p
🚨#BREAKING: A 28-year-old confirms he has spent the last 10 YEARS of his life interviewing World War II combat veterans to keep their stories alive...
...in fact, for the last 10 years, he has interviewed World War 2 veterans EVERY SINGLE DAY
He started as a teenager, ditching school to ride his BIKE to the local retirement home, walking up to the front desk and asking to, "meet some World War II heroes."
His name is Rishi Sharma.
He's crossed all 50 states and half the world.
He's slept in his car and lived on gas-station food to afford it.
He asks these men for hours of their memories, and then he hands the entire recording to their families...
...FOR FREE
So that 200 years from now, a great-great-grandchild will know not just their hero's name, but how he laughed, how he cried, and what he sacrificed.
Rishi has no military family, his parents immigrated here from India.
He does it out of pure gratitude.
In his words:
"My parents were given the opportunity to immigrate and raise a family because of veterans like these. It's a debt of love I'll spend my entire life trying to repay..."
As one 100-year-old Marine who stormed Iwo Jima told him, remembering the flag going up:
"The hair on my arms still stands up when I think about how beautiful it was."
THAT is America.
250 years of ordinary people doing extraordinary things...
God bless our veterans. 🇺🇸🇺🇸
In a decent world this wouldn’t have to be said. Charlie Kirk was viciously, brutally murdered and Erika Kirk suffered an unimaginable loss. She deserves sympathy, respect, support and Christian love.
No one with a shred of decency would target her for attack. No one with a shred of decency would platform someone who attacks her.
No one with a molecule of benevolence and integrity would enable these attacks, including by listening to them and even entertaining the notion that these conspiracy theories are remotely credible.
Shame on the whole lot of these cretins. I’ve had it up to my eyeballs seeing this over and over. Quit pretending this is behavior that decent people would tolerate. I hope they get their comeuppance.
Benjamin Netanyahu was right all along.
"Radical Islam threatens the future of the world. It is an extremist ideology that knows no limits. Israel is defending itself, but also Western civilization."
Why must air traffic controllers retire at 56, FBI agents at 57, and pilots at 65—yet politicians can keep making decisions for future generations until 90?
@speaks919@MAGAVoice A contract is negotiated by the month for our company. It doesn’t matter if the price falls drastically during that month we still get paid what was contracted.
Now that we know the political significance of my $8.75 coral maternity dress from Old Navy, can’t wait to hear what the New York Times has to say about my elastic-waistband pants and compression socks! In the meantime, enjoy my pregnancy fashion (or lack thereof) and a good story with your kids on Storytime with the Second Lady.

Usha Vance is the definition of down-to-earth elegance!
The New York Times tried turning her coral maternity dress into some big political statement… so she clapped back with the receipt showing it was just $8.75 from Old Navy and joked about analyzing her elastic-waist pants and compression socks next. 😂
No designer labels or pretentious vibes, just a real mom-to-be who shops where the rest of us do, still looks radiant, and keeps it classy and comfortable.
That’s the kind of relatable grace we love seeing from our Second Lady.
You look beautiful, Usha. Keep shining (and storytelling)! 📖❤️
