@SkylerAitken@NBAPR 🤣🤣
Seriously this isn’t about tanking (which has been happening since at least the Patrick Ewing draft), it’s all about gambling money. Guys playing half a game or 3/4 of a game throws off individual over/unders and sometimes game lines.
NBA is corrupt.
I lived this shit man, 99% of the people with an opinion have never been to a G5 game, and damn is it frustrating
I was on campus when my school was the best G5 team in the nation. I was at the only gameday my school will ever see. My REAL LIFE was impacted by G5 football.
Years like this mean EVERYTHING to a G5 school, and it pains me that no one will experience this again if their seat is taken from the table.
All so Walmart fans can watch another episode of their favorite TV show.
Shame on anyone that built a platform covering this great sport trying to strip down all the things that make it great
ESPN is on a smear campaign of BYU football, using misleading statistics, hiding their resume, and actively supporting the idea that the 11-1 Cougars don't belong.
The CFP is not a tool for equality. It's a smoke screen for SEC and B1G propaganda.

BYU is now OFFICIALLY the first 1-loss P4/P5 to finish the regular season ranked outside of the Top 10 of the highest poll (CFP/AP).
Surely their resume must have been terrible to warrant this record breaking low ranking.
Probably no wins over ranked teams, or even bowl eligible teams. Also must have lost to a team like UMass or something.
I mean 90+ years is a long time, with hundreds of 1-loss teams, it must have taken something crazy to keep them out.
BYU played in the first live college football game on ESPN in 1984, and ESPN has enjoyed having BYU in its late-night windows for decades, and ESPN gave BYU a TV deal during independence…but this graphic from ESPN is indefensible at best and antagonistic at worst.
BYU will finished ranked, while starting the season unranked, yet again… for the 4th time in the last 6 years
Relatedly, all 10 teams ranked above BYU right now started the season ranked… time to discuss “anchoring bias,” eh?
BYU’s glass ceiling of “you’re not good because we thought you’re not supposed to be good… (despite copious evidence to the contrary)” remains firmly in place
… & a reminder that no team has been more underrated by AP voters over its entire history and recently too, than the Cougars
(On the last image, add a “plus one” to BYU’s number in every column since they will finished ranked this year)
I went back and looked at the last decade of where the lowest ranked P4/P5 1-loss team finished the regular season and here are the results:
2025: BYU (11 Projection)
2024: Indiana (8)
2023: Alabama (8)
2022: Ohio State (4)
2021: Notre Dame (5)
2020: NA (Covid)
2019: Baylor (7)
2018: Ohio State (6)
2017: Georgia (6)
2016: Washington (4)
AVERAGE ranking: 6
BYU is being absolutely robbed.
They're not wrong - it's all about the wins (plus some other stuff).
FYI only one of these teams plays a team with a remaining strength of schedule in the top 25 this weekend (BYU's is 24 and Miami's is 26)
Ah… good ole 247 Team Talent.
No SEC school has over performed their talent ranking over the last 5 or 10 yr spans. 🤔🤣
BYU was 78th last year and 70th this year in this ranking and has gone 21-3 with those “untalented” rosters. Those rankings have TTU down at 29th, yet they’re clearly a top 10-15 roster.
But the real point is those rankings are crap and slanted heavily toward big city, big state and SEC schools.
Using them to disparage actual on field results may be the most “SEC Numbers Guy”- thing ever…(& the SEC is my second favorite team’s conference)
🚨 BREAKING: The Governor of Utah Spencer Cox just reminded everybody that Utah has the DEATH PENALTY after the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
Time to use it and MAKE IT QUICK.
