IRAN ADAPTS BALLISTIC MISSILES TO EVADE AIR DEFENSES

Iran is reportedly refining its Kheibar Shekan ballistic missile to better penetrate U.S. and Israeli air defenses, according to the WSJ.

Iranian forces are varying trajectory, speed and maneuvering during attacks, with some missiles capable of last-minute maneuvers designed to evade interceptors.

A U.S. official says most have been successfully intercepted, but some have penetrated defenses—suggesting Tehran is studying each interception and adapting its tactics.

The Kheibar Shekan has a reported 900-mile range, putting Israel and Gulf nations within reach.
