@jeriellsworth @keprtv It's been surprising how much difference in quality there is between tapes recorded in the 80s vs when the analog network was being phased out. Additional software vhs-teletext shows that even more.

@KevEdwardsRetro @dafydd_rees There are C64 disks from a particular publisher that rid the oxide from a light bath of isopropyl if they weren't stored properly.

Microfiber cloth is very good for cleaning disks faster than cotton swabs if you can spin the disk between the cloth. Just avoid too much pressure.

@KevEdwardsRetro @dafydd_rees A thing I've noticed with very bad disks is never to use pure isopropyl on those but rather ~50/50 mixed with water. Now using just water, if that doesn't do then 50/50 and pure isopropyl only as a last resort.
