// I’m so happy to be here. I am still VERY new to Star Wars but I am absolutely adoring being here with everyone I’ve meet so far and getting the honor of writing with you all everyone is so talented UUUWAHH
There was no venom in his voice but it was much colder than he meant it to be coming out of him. Who was this man who thought that they should meet face to face.. What did they know about him.
causing the liquid to shimmer in the low light. This was nice.. The mention of a man without a name, just an ominous word.
Savage's eyes flicked up to the woman before him once more, this time his brows furrowed the tattoos adorning his face contorting in such a way.
"Who."—
"The Crimson Dawn?" He echoed once more this time, questioning her without looking for an actual answer.
"Yes. A hopeful look on this meeting. It has been far too long since last I met anyone with such kindness." He swirled the glass in his hand a bit —
The words cut the way she holds herself before him. She was confident, calculated.. It was interesting to him. He had not met many people not new ones at least.
"Kindness.." He repeated it back more or less to himself. A word he had not heard in so long. —
Folding her hands at her lap, light glinting off the silver rings adorning her fingers, she looks on him with purpose.
"𝘏𝘦 thought it best we meet face to face."
Savage breathed out a gentle sigh as he placed a hand on the hilt of the lightsaber turning it off with a sharp hiss as the crimson humming shut off.
"Brother.. I will not leave your side if you allow me a spot beside you."
Savage felt his heart soften the warmth of Maul's words and voice. Though none of what Maul spoke could be taken as soft being able to hear his brother's voice once more..
It felt like the world could stop there was nothing there between them. —
For a moment, Maul said nothing.
His eyes fell to the prosthetic hand resting against his own.
Metal against flesh. Then flesh against metal.
There was something bitterly familiar in it.
“Do not.”
The words came quietly.
Maul turned his hand beneath Savage’s until he could take hold of it properly, his fingers closing around the cold metal with deliberate strength.
“Do not burden yourself with what you could not have known.”
His gaze lifted to his brother’s bloodshot eyes.
“You did not leave me there, Savage. You did not put me in that pit. You did not take my legs, my mind, or the years that followed.”
A muscle tightened along Maul’s jaw.
For once, there was no hatred behind the words. Only exhaustion.
“You owe me no apology for surviving a life of your own before you knew I existed.”
His thumb moved once across Savage’s prosthetic knuckles.
“And do not mourn what I deserved.”
A faint, humorless breath escaped him.
“The galaxy has never concerned itself with what men like us deserve.”
Maul stepped closer, bringing his free hand back to Savage’s shoulder.
“But you are here now.”
His voice softened.
That was rarer than tears from Maul.
“And I would rather have my brother beside me now than spend another moment wondering why he was not there before.”
His eyes drifted briefly toward the lightsaber before returning to Savage.
“So no more apologies.”
The smallest curve touched the corner of his mouth at Savage’s smile.
“You found me, brother.”
His grip tightened.
“That is enough.”
everything. Savage felt his shoulders slump with the weight of Maul's hand on it again.
"I will not mourn what has happened.. What has come and gone. No matter how I feel. The force.. It was with you It kept you safe where I could not." —
You would offer such courtesies.. unless you require something of me.” His tone shifted a twinge but leaving room that this is a kind gesture.
His eyes glance up at her for a moment then back towards the cup almost defensive of the drink afraid it will be taken away from him.
His hands gently grasped the glass his movements gentle for his size.
His expression shifted from hesitancy to curiosity as he listened to her speak a small nod as he held the glass to his lips taking in a sip careful of the temperature.
“You’d do such a thing if I asked..?”—
Having been asked to attend the imposing warrior upon his return, the Lady of Crimson Dawn opted for a larger glass to offer him.
Little details like this were a cultivated talent.
"Babali root, for lifting fatigue. Do let me know if you enjoy it. I'll keep it on hand if so."
His face contorted as he took another sip of the hot drink as he focused on the rippling reflection in the glass.
A soft huff from his nose as he looked back up at the woman before him.
“Why be so kind.. I can only assume this was an order given to you I see no other reason—
