Common sense should tell anyone that something is very wrong with how these white folks in Mississippi are handling Nolan Wells’ death.
If Nolan drowned, then say he drowned. Why hold onto his lungs and his throat? Why seal the autopsy? Why play all these games?
Transparency is the fastest way to the truth. Instead, the story keeps changing, posts got deleted. Lies are being told.
These people are playing a game of CYA on the soul of a young Black boy.
Mississippi remember Angel Myers Mcllarath, the district attorney, is an elected position.
John Ledbetter, the county sheriff, is an elected position.
Tate Reeves, the governor of Mississippi, is an elected position.
Lynn Fitch, the Mississippi attorney general, is an elected position.
Black people make up 37% of Mississippi’s population.
Vote these racists out and go get the answers.
Martin Luther King Jr. explained why comparing Black Americans to other immigrant groups misses a crucial part of history.
When asked why Jews, Irish, and Italians had managed to escape poverty while many Black Americans remained trapped by it, King said the comparison overlooked two fundamental differences.
The first was slavery.
As he put it:
"No other racial group has been enslaved on American soil."
Unlike other immigrant communities, Black Americans endured centuries of slavery followed by legalized segregation, creating barriers that had no true parallel.
The second difference was race itself.
King argued that while many immigrant groups could eventually assimilate into the broader society, Black Americans could not because their skin color remained a visible target for discrimination.
As he explained:
"While other racial groups have been able to change their accents or names to assimilate, the Negro cannot."
For King, that was why the comparison failed. History was different, and so were the obstacles that followed from it.

You can actually budget all you want and stop eating out, but it doesn’t change the fact that people don’t just make enough money for this economy anymore.
People are arrested for leaving their kids and their animals in the car when it's hot and evidently you will be arrested for trying to protect your kids from the Heat. You can't make this shit up.
Another day. Another racist death threat via voicemail.
A triggered white man called my church and declared, “Time to toe tag a n*gger preacher who doesn’t know a f*cking thing about Jesus.”
Let’s be clear about what that means. A toe tag is placed on a corpse in the morgue. This wasn’t political disagreement. This wasn’t theological debate. It was a death threat.
Why was he offended?
I posted a depiction of Jesus as a Black man.
The same people who lecture everyone about “Christian love,” “religious liberty,” and “ending hate” are often the first to resort to racist slurs and violent threats when their mythology is challenged. If your faith is so fragile that a picture of a dark-skinned Jesus drives you to threaten murder, the problem isn’t the picture, it’s the wickedness in your heart.
I’ve reported this threat to the FBI. The current administration has repeatedly said it will vigorously investigate threats against churches and violations of religious liberty. We’ll see whether those promises apply when the target is a Black pastor and the person making the threat is one of their own.
Let me make one thing perfectly clear:
I will not be intimidated. I will not be silenced. I will not stop preaching the Gospel. And I certainly will not stop exposing the sickness of racism that continues to masquerade as Christianity.
Jesus wasn’t threatened because He preached comfort. He was threatened because He challenged the system.
Some things never change.
"Get over racism."
Four Black Haitian women were found beheaded after being deported by ICE.
Why aren't we hearing about it? Because they aren't white.
I'm ready for the “Nolan Wells Law” that gives mandatory life sentences to government officials who tamper with and cover up evidence in a case.
So so ready!!
Staci Turner, the Chief Medical Examiner in Mississippi, needs to be thoroughly investigated. Every case she’s ruled as accidental, undetermined, or suicide involving Black people should be reexamined immediately.
Take Trey Reed; found hanging on the Delta State University campus. She ruled it a suicide. But an independent investigation later determined it was a homicide after discovering blunt force trauma and bruising all over his body.
Nolan Wells was ruled a drowning almost immediately after his body arrived. His family has now demanded an independent investigation.
Damion Cameron’s death was ruled undetermined after a deadly confrontation with law enforcement left him with internal neck bleeding.
And Shannon Wilson was embalmed without his family’s permission; destroying critical evidence that could have shown he was murdered.
This is exactly what institutional racism looks like. When I post about it, this is the kind of thing I’m talking about.
They call us racist for exposing their racism!
