Madam President!

Your decision to bar representatives of the Iranian regime from the European Parliament is a principled and necessary step. It signals that Europe will no longer legitimize repression and state violence.

Yet this action must be completed. When a regime wages armed war against its own people, recognizing the Iranian people’s right to self-defense and listing the IRGC in its entirety as a terrorist organization are not radical demands — they are moral and legal imperatives. History is moving fast. Europe’s stance at this decisive moment will be remembered.

در زمانی که بسیاری سکوت اختیار می‌کنند، شما صدای کسانی شده اید که سال‌هاست در کشور ما، بی‌دفاع و بی‌داد، قربانی می‌شوند. صدای زنانی که برای حق زندگی، حبس و شکنجه می‌شوند. صدای جوانانی که به جرم رؤیاپردازی برای آزادی، اعدام می‌شوند. در یک کلام، صدای بی‌صدایان شده اید.

اما آنچه شما نوشته اید، تنها بخشی از واقعیت تلخ است.

آمار رسمی اعدام، تنها سطحی‌ترین لایه از خشونت سازمان‌یافته است.
پشت این اعداد، صدها ناپدیدسازی قهری پنهان شده است.
جوانانی در سر ایست‌های بازرسی، بدون هشدار، کشته می‌شوند.
کولبران کرد و سوخت‌بران بلوچ، تنها برای آوردن نان به خانه، ��یر گلوله، زیر چرخ ماشین نظامی، یا در شعله‌های آتش جان می‌دهند.
این‌ها کسانی هستند که جرمشان فقر است، و مجازات‌شان مرگی که در صحنه انجام می‌شود.

و تازه‌ترین نمونه، بابک شهبازی است.
جوانی که به رئیس‌جمهور اوکراین نوشت تا داوطلبانه در برابر تجاوز روسیه بجنگد،
اما در ایران، به اتهام «جاسوسی برای اسرائیل» به اعدام محکوم شد.
دختر ۱۶ ساله‌اش را برای تحت فشار قرار دادن او تهدید به بازداشت کردند.
پدرش، در پی شوک و رفت‌وآمدهای دادگاهی، دچار ایست قلبی شد و تحت جراحی قلب باز قرار گرفت.
این دیگر قانون نیست، انتقام است.

و حتی دادگاه‌های اخیر، که به‌نام حقوق بشر برگزار می‌شوند،
در سکوت، بدون حضور وکیل، در قالب مجازی،
به ابزار سرکوبی جدید تبدیل شده‌اند — بی‌دادگاه‌هایی که نه ��رصت دفاع می‌دهند، نه مشروعیت دارند.

با همه‌ی این‌ها، نوشته‌ی شما برای ما تنها یک تحلیل نبود.
پیامی بود به همهٔ ما که زنده‌ایم و ایستاده‌ایم:

“شما تنها نیستید.”

ما این پیام را شنیده ایم.
و حالا این پرسش را با شما و جامعه جهانی در میان می‌گذاریم:

در جهانی که مرگ به قانون تبدیل شده، آیا شما آخرین کسانی خواهید بود که فریاد خواهید زد؟
آیا هنوز امیدی هست برای توقف این چرخهٔ مرگ؟ یا باید باز هم، تنها، در برابر اعدام و سرکوب بایستیم؟
