We can no longer stay silent.
Join us in Paris on the 20th of June.
No to executions. No to dictatorship, crowned or turbaned.
I support Maryam Rajavi's Ten-Point Plan for a free, democratic and non-nuclear Iran.

With more and more people urging the Iranian people be armed to confront the IRGC, this video is worth taking a second look, the 1991 five-hour parade by the Mujahedin-e Khalq's National Liberation Army of Iran (NLA) in Camp Ashraf, 45 miles from the Iranian border. 👇
One of my favorite human beings has left us...
Jean Ziegler deeply shaped me as a person and influenced my life profoundly. As teenagers, we already read his books and discussed late into the night about his worldview, his ideals, and his tireless fight against injustice.
Around the same time, I learned that Jean Ziegler was a loyal companion of Dr. Kazem Rajavi, who was murdered in Geneva in 1990 by an Iranian death squad. Jean Ziegler was not only a close friend of Dr. Rajavi, but also a passionate supporter of the Iranian Resistance. Fortunately, I was able to hear this from him personally several times and witness with how much love, humility, and sincerity he spoke about the Iranian Resistance.
The first time I met Jean Ziegler was at a conference where he spoke about the deadly attack on Ashraf City, at that time the refuge of the Iranian Resistance. Many people were killed there by bombs and gunfire from Iraqi militias acting under direct orders from Tehran. Among the victims were many young women resistance fighters who still had their whole lives ahead of them.
I was nervous because it would be the first time I met Jean Ziegler in person. The occasion itself was, of course, marked by deep sorrow. At the end of the conference, I quietly walked up to him and thanked him for his open-minded and critical spirit, for his courage, and for his tireless commitment to the Iranian Resistance and the people of Iran.
He turned around, pointed at the young faces of the murdered Ashraf residents whose photographs were hanging on the wall, and said to me with deep reverence and seriousness:
“You should not thank me, my dear. Thank these people.”
Afterwards, he continued to look silently and thoughtfully at their faces.
I gave him that moment and understood that it was not the right time to express my admiration for him.
In the years that followed, however, I had many more opportunities to discuss world politics with him and to stand side by side with him in support of the people of Iran.
Rest in power, extraordinary human being. You'll be missed but your legacy will live on.

🕯️ Jean Ziegler, Renowned Human Rights Advocate and Former UN Rapporteur, Dies at 92
Jean Ziegler, the Swiss sociologist, former member of the Swiss Federal Parliament, and former UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Food, has died in Geneva at the age of 92.
A prominent human rights advocate, Ziegler was a longtime supporter of the Iranian Resistance and a close friend of Dr. Kazem Rajavi. During the Shah's era, he campaigned alongside Dr. Rajavi against political executions, namely to stop the execution of the Iranian Resistance Leader, Massoud Rajavi.
He also played an active role in defending the rights of residents of Camp Ashraf during the years of its siege.
Known internationally for his criticism of inequality and global injustice, Ziegler remained active into his nineties, publishing Where Is Hope? at age 90—a call for resistance against war, hunger, and injustice.
I offer my deepest condolences on the sorrowful loss of Professor Jean Ziegler, the awakened conscience of modern humanity, an eminent thinker, a fierce defender of freedom and human rights, and a great friend of the Iranian Resistance. My heartfelt sympathies go out to all freedom-lovers, the people of Switzerland, his dear wife Érika, his family, and his admirers.
Jean Ziegler is a name and face well known to the people of Iran. For 55 years, through the most complex circumstances, he stood in solidarity and empathy with the Mojahedin and the Iranian Resistance. His invaluable and impactful efforts alongside Prof. Kazem Rajavi in the 1970s to secure the freedom and save the life of Massoud [Rajavi] from execution will forever endure in the history and memory of the Iranian people.
Amidst this sorrow, what brings us comfort is knowing that his intellectual and practical legacy, along with his core values, will continue to inspire generations fighting for freedom, justice, and human dignity.

Iran's IRGC allegedly embedded 15 commanders inside the country's soccer system, turning stadiums into surveillance hubs with facial-recognition cameras and ID-linked ticketing to track and later arrest dissidents, according to a report from opposition group NCRI provided exclusively to Fox News Digital. The report cites internal security documents describing seat-by-seat mapping of spectators by national ID and vetting of fan-club leaders — all funneled through Iran's most popular sport.

Regime analyst Mehdi Kharatian’s admission says it all:
During the January uprising, “nearly 100 cities fell or were on the brink of collapse.”
This is exactly why the Islamic Republic is terrified of another nationwide uprising.

This is not a war zone. This is Tehran's Sattar Khan Street, where I grew up.
You hear Khamenei's thugs shooting. You see ordinary people fighting back.
Many more scenes like this will come. Iranians know how to bring down this regime. They will do it.

CYI Webinar: "No to Torture, No to Executions." Hear from legal experts & students on bringing justice & accountability to Iran.
Sunday, June 7 (1-2 PM ET) https://t.co/1ahMPdV8MM
Athletes hold an esteemed position in many societies and, when coupled with a strong sense of equality and justice that should always underpin sport and that is too often absent from those who govern it, they are very often placed at extreme risk in countries that persecute human rights advocates.
Athletes who speak out are, in fact, human rights defenders with special protections under international law, and the world of sport must ensure that protection.
See: ‘Declaration on the Right and Responsibility of Individuals, Groups and Organs of Society to Promote and Protect Universally Recognized Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms.’
We saw this very recently with threats against members of the women’s Iranian team here in Australia, some of who required protection and Iran has an egregious history of executions of high profile athletes who speak out on behalf of their people, over many decades.
Sadly, I’ve been involved in many cases in recent years in an attempt to stop the execution of Iranian athletes, while also ensuring that one young Bahraini refugee footballer’s rights were upheld, whose life was at risk for peacefully speaking out for democratic rights.
And of course, for sport to apply its rules and fulfil its duties consistently, forcefully and according to international law, without fear or favour.
Once again, I’ve joined many high profile former athletes such as Martina Navratilova, Bahram Mavaddat and Sharron Davies to call on global sport to protect all athlete human rights defenders.
And to stop the executions of athletes.
