“Why are you supporting Michele Tafoya and Lisa Demuth when they aren’t the ‘Republican endorsed’ candidates.”
Because Minnesota Republicans haven’t won a statewide election since 2006. We’re tied with California for the longest drought in the country.
I don’t care about the statewide Republicans endorsements anymore.
I’m backing the candidates who give us the best possible chance to win in November. Full stop.
At 100 years old, WWII veteran Bernie Smoot still drives his convertible Ford Mustang to play golf five days a week, shoots in the low 80s and shares wisdom from 74 years in the game: “You live to play golf. But to reach my age, you play golf to live.”
To celebrate Bernie — who landed at Omaha Beach just months after graduating high school — his PGA Coach and friend Jeff Maynor organized a tournament in his honor at the University of Maryland Golf Course, where Bernie plays five days a week.
Maynor, the course’s PGA Director of Golf, has run a @PGAHOPE program there for Veterans since 2019, which Bernie loves to support. The tournament for Bernie was a chance for those Veterans to thank him and celebrate his love for the game.
What have the fans done wrong to break the relationship, and why do fans have to do anything to repair it? We paid for the Pohlad’s stadium. We drank their $15 beer. We paid their ticket service fees. We devoted time and care to substandard rosters. We’ve done plenty.
The normalization of threats, intimidation, and violence against elected officials must stop. We must resolve our differences through discussion and mutual respect. The attack on Rep. Omar is wrong and we must all strive to do better.
Tommy Gainey was in the @BahamasKFTour next week as a past champion of the event. It’s his last year for his past champion exemption.
A friend of his called me and said he WD, so a young guy could get a start. So I called him.
Of course Tommy picked up. Said he loves the event, wants to play, but knows how hard it is to get KFT starts now. “It’s 10 times harder than when I came up. I didn’t want to take a spot from a guy”. Went on to say with all the changes it’s was that much more important that someone coming up got a start.
As much as he wanted to be there, with his Champions Tour status locked up he knew if he was 1st alternate that he would do anything for a start.
But before he WD he called @jfranklin513 the tournament director. “I don’t want to disrespect the event” Tommy said.
Josh thanked him and told him “not sure many would do what he was doing”.
Tommy ended the call saying “these young guys are so good, any one of them can win, even the last guy in the field.”
Well done @TwoGlovesGolf
Never thought fantasy punishments would make a national commercial & a 1st rd pic that is responsible for a lot of last places (due to an early season injury) would participate. Amazing. Props to Malik Nabers & @IHOP#fantasylife indeed
