NEW: Sacramento's precious waterways are being destroyed by homeless drug addicts.
But city, county, and state agencies are all paralyzed and no one wants to take the lead to solve the problem.
So a group of senior citizens and volunteers are taking matters into their own hands.

“The US lost more than 94,000 farms between 2021 and 2025.”
“Farmers and ranchers say they’re being gouged.”
“Fertilizer prices are rising… nearly 50%.”
“While farm incomes are actually falling.”
American farmers have “reached a breaking point.”
They’re demanding that Trump’s DOJ break up the “corporate cartel” that controls fertilizer markets and has been price gouging them for years.
NewsNation’s Markie Martin reports:
“This isn’t just typical inflation or even the war in Iran that’s forcing thousands of farms to shut down.”
Xavier Walton: “It's a combination of things.”
“The DOJ is investigating whether a corporate cartel is controlling fertilizer prices.”
“If you speak to just about any farmer, they’ll tell you that the fertilizer problem has been growing for years.”
“A group of farmers and ranchers want the FTC chair and federal regulators to crack down on what they call a fertilizer monopoly.”
Texas Corn Producers Association Director Dee Vaughan just revealed some shocking statistics:
“We’ve seen a 45% increase in Chapter 12 bankruptcy filings among farmers in just the last year.”
“And that doesn’t take into account those farmers that just say… ‘I’m just going to quit while I still have a little equity.’”

A case of NWS may have been detected in South Texas. The sample is now at USDA's National Veterinary Services Laboratories (NVSL) in Ames, lowa for confirmatory testing. We will provide updates the moment results are available.
We have already activated personnel on the ground and are working with local partners.
What you can expect from us is transparency, candor, and most important — action.

How does this even happen⁉️😭
A woman somehow drove her car onto Seattle’s elevated light rail tracks at Mount Baker Station on Wednesday evening, bringing train service to a halt. 😳🚆
Witnesses say the driver told people she was “following GPS” after ending up on the tracks and driving a significant distance before getting stuck. The vehicle had to be removed from the guideway, causing major delays for riders across the 1 Line. #DUBSEA
Potentially the worst side effect of the war is the spike in fertilizer prices. Laying the ground work for famines in some parts of the world and for sure higher prices in the grocery stores and American farms shutting down in mass.
🚨94% of farmers say the Iran war spiked their fertilizer costs.
Washington’s response: 3.8% of farmers feel understood.
Buy from ranchers who are building outside that system.

🇲🇽 | Authorities in Mexico City have detected the first case of screwworm parasite in a human. Learn more about the links between screwworm and the trafficking of cattle smuggled from Central America to Mexico and the United States: https://t.co/auuXDO0PPq
@InSightCrime Thanks for highlighting this. I testified before the Texas Senate just two weeks ago on the exact same threat:
Cartel-enabled cattle trafficking from Central America is laundering ~800k head/year into Mexico with fake tags & falsified records — completely bypassing biosecurity and driving New World screwworm northward.
No matter what U.S./Texas protocols we put in place, the flow of high-risk cattle will continue until these cartel pipelines are addressed.

The kindness of humans is found most in places with low population density.
Not a call for population reduction, but to move back to the land. Spreading out seems to bring people closer together.
