Found myself getting emotional yesterday for several reasons.
For a packed Trop filled overwhelmingly with fans of the home team.
For a team that’s always scrapped and clawed to fight for positioning and never gets enough respect.
For the amount of hometown gear I saw all day on both sides of the bay.
For a big Rays playoff win and the first win of the Bolts season.
But most of all for how the community showed up for all of its teams on the same night, from one side of the bay to the other.
The passion is there and it’s building.
Tampa is home.
I didn’t choose it, but it (and the entire region) chose me—and so many others.
I don’t wanna hear any of those “HiS sTaRtInG qUaRtErBaCk Is InJuReD” excuses.
Todd Bowles gotta go.
0-4 to start the year (with 3 of those being consecutive home games) is unacceptable.
2-11 the last 13 games.
Worst coached team in the NFL.

Holy hell. Donald Trump managed to run the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts into the ground in under six months. That tracks. Just about everything he touches ends up worse off, yet his supporters still call it 4D chess. Incredible.
Vasy on the fight: "I just saw Sway was swinging the blocker a little bit on Hags, so it was just a reflex to run to the red line and challenge him, and he accepted. So big thanks to him. I thought he was great throughout the game in net and in the fight as well. So just again, big thanks to him for giving me my first one in the NHL."
The #GoBolts goalie said they shared kind words after the fight.
Lot of younger Americans don’t know this because they never experienced the old world, but we used to have a thing called political scandals. When an elected official was caught doing something bad, they occasionally faced something called consequences. No longer, sadly.
“I knew he was gonna beat the wheels (off) Swayman”
Nikita Kucherov was smiling ear to ear talking about his buddy Andrei Vasilevskiy getting into a scrap & firing up his team.
“We call him Tyson now”

This isn’t political. Anyone with morals should be able to see and acknowledge the atrocities ICE is committing. They are killing civilians and kidnapping people. Separating families. Tear gassing children. Assaulting people. I’d think a devout Christian like himself wouldn’t hesitate to comment on how horrific it is. “I’m a dumb redneck” is a bullshit excuse.
The stadium series game in Tampa looks so electric. The NHL always does a great job with these outdoor games. And to do it in Florida is even cooler.
More sports should get creative like this.
