At the end of the day, the final playoff rankings are likely to be decided by the Golden Rule.
ESPN didn’t shell out billions of dollars to watch South Carolina host UNLV or an at-large SMU team travel to Notre Dame.
They paid for THIS:
Auburn LB Demarcus Riddick said Alabama QB Jalen Milroe was not faster than him ahead of the Iron Bowl.
Milroe outran him to the edge on a first-half TD run during the Crimson Tide’s 28-14 win 😬💨 #RollTide
I’d be remiss if I didn’t say this.
My grandmother passed away on Thursday morning. I miss her so much, and I’m still so heartbroken. She loved the Crimson Tide, but even more than that, she loved the Lord. She was an incredible woman, and she spent her life serving and loving others, and sharing the gospel.
Maybe some of y’all will think this is odd or the wrong place for this. But it’s my page, and I can post whatever I want.
I love Alabama football. Don’t get me wrong. But part of the work the Lord has done in my heart is help me keep football a hobby, rather than an idol. It’s something that I’ve been convicted about over the past decade or so. I’ve had to realize that Alabama football used to 100% being idol to me. This isn’t easy to admit, but it’s true.
My entire attitude used to be dictated on how we did on Saturdays. If we lost the game, I was angry, upset, mad, and felt like my entire world ended. Part of the Lord has done in my heart is remind me that it’s truly just a game.
It doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy watching/attending the games, painting my face, making signs, and cheering my heart out. But what it does mean, is that win or lose, my joy is in the Lord, and in the Lord alone. It means that win or lose, life goes on.
My grandmother’s life and testimony is a reminder to me that when I die, I don’t just want to be known as the UA Sign Girl. I want to be known as someone who loved her Lord and Savior more than anything else, including Alabama football.
So if you’re someone like who I used to be that feels as though their entire day is ruined because we just lost a game, I want to encourage you that the sun will come up tomorrow, life goes on, it’s just a game, and God is good. ❤️
God Bless and Roll Tide!
